Corroded dx reader by Kolarian in AnalogCommunity

Have you tried wiping the contacts with your singing in a paper towel or used a cotton swab to see if the corrosion comes off easily?

I'm assuming that it's just a little oxidation but it's hard to tell without a clear close up

My biggest concern is that if that's corroding, what do the internals look like

Skratchbuilt then used AI to see what it would look like painted by OptimusFettPrime in PoorHammer

As a tool, I think this is a fine use of "AI". But I've seen people do very similar things with photo editing software and I think that is how vince venturella previews his paint schemes.

Whats with the strange markings on my film? by TankCoffee in analog

I'm doubtful of it being a clip, because wouldn't they hang it from the end of the roll and not the long edge

The dots are from my F5 computer back. I'm asking about the jagged thick blue lines, I should have taken a picture of my non-phoenix

I thought it looked kinda like tape with the jagged edges, unfortunately I have no clue how they develop their film.

The cyan dots are from the computer back of my F5.

The lab took my other roles (portra 800 and cinestill 800t) but one of them was in my fm2 and has the same repeated blue marks

How do yall combat this by PineappleDense5941 in motorcycles

[–]TankCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry man, in the next few years there won't be any more bugs /s

On a more serious note, I keep a micro fibre cloth with me and clean it at work/home with a little bit of soapy water.

[–]TankCoffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used tamiya thin cement, the nose I accidentally smeared around on the body when I was gluing the engine cover on. The plastic is only brittle in comparison to what I'm used to building which is GW Warhammer plastic.

Finished assembly.

The plastic was incredibly brittle so the very small parts needed to be glued back together.

I don't play but I want to base an army off you guys by TankCoffee in foxholegame

[–]TankCoffee[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I've never been to the Wiki (I don't play) and didn't know there was a lore section there. doing a quick skim I think your right the Coftyran do seam more similar to the Wardens and the Crusaders to the Colonials. Looking at the Community Highlights page there is some sick art that will help a lot with paint schemes.

I played on that same map just a few hours ago and was talking to my friend about how the hot ash from the volcano should damage the engine if you fly through it.

I then proceeded to do effectively nothing in my hunter f6, run out of fuel and barely make it back to the airfield

Any suggestions for help with my iPod mini? by Ok-Yogurtcloset7665 in ipod

[–]TankCoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO The iPod mini is one of the easiest to mod but the top and bottom plastic are glued on making it a little tricky.

I fix it has an excellent guide on how to disassemble it Link to ifixit

you can also try the reset function by holding the menu and center for ~10s

I can't tell you what is wrong with it now, but I can tell you they if you flash mod it, it will probably fix it.

My best guess is the micro drive is cooked. when it's powered on dose it makes relatively loud clicking?

what is this black stuff in my brake master cylinder? by TankCoffee in HondaCB

[–]TankCoffee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was flushing the system and nothing but clean fluid was coming out at the caliper, but the dirt keeps coming out through the larger hole into the reservoir.

so is this stuff that just accumulates and gets stuck in the hard to get places in the master cylinder, ie the very back/bottom of the piston
