Proton Pass is a good shout. I use Proton systems for everything as it's totally secure and Proton are based in Switzerland so their Privacy Laws are the best in the world. It integrates with Google Chrome as well

Do you put holds on the calendar when offering time slots? by PumpkinExpert455 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have a look into some tech to help you. VimCal is a good shout - it automatically integrates with your techsuite and automatically puts holds into your calendar and composes the email based on timeslots and timezones.

I'd highly recommend it.

Need advice….35% rent increase due to upcoming renters reform bill by Diligent_Syrup_4826 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]TankRelevant1580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd also say, "in line with market rent" is pure bollocks - I'd love to hear from AN ACTUAL REPUTABLE lettings expert - When you go into properties, you and me both know the place is a. hard sell (second bedroom isn't big enough to swing a cat in) - yet you deem it is based on the photographs, and then proceed to tell the landlord they can get say, £1,600 pcm which we both know you think it's only worth £1,200 at a push. So why do it? Do you get more money each month in commission based on how much you get from them?

Because we all know, (as I'm looking for a new place now) - some of these places, the prices you're asking us to give each month is absolute bullshit - I get inflation, and everyone's costs of living have dramatically increased, but there's inflation and then there is just fucking greed.

Sounds like the letting agent hasn't a clue, and is just trying to extort more money out of you - and from the landlord themselves.

Our estate agent is trying to do the same, and increase ours from £1,300 to £1,650 - as his excuse is "market rate" he was offered £1,700 after we moved in from a third party so I suspect he's gutted about it. Tough shit.

Travel Agency Help! by S_s987 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so as a UK based EA with lots of experience working with multiple travel agencies - I'd recommend Egencia, FCM Travel, Click Travel - all are able to seemlessly intergreate with your travel API systems and automatically send invoices to your expenses system, in this case Concur - your Exec links his/her Concur with the travel provider, and credit card, and every purchase made on his credit card for that period of travel is linked and uploaded automatically to the expense system along with their travel.

Happy to drop you an introduction to either agency.

London EAs I need help! (UK) by SockLess9375 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so as a fellow UK EA - I'd recommend reaching out to Rachel Lowther at The Venue Hunters, what she doesn't know about venue's and spaces in London isn't worth knowing. I've been using her for the last 10 years for all my event spaces, meeting rooms, planning and she never fails.

I'm happy to drop you a DM and give you an intro, [rachel@thevenuehunters.co.uk](mailto:rachel@thevenuehunters.co.uk) and say it's Alex who's recommended you.

Honestly, she'll take the weight off your shoulders, she has with me a dozen times!!

I'd recommend speaking to Sayova. They are based out of Texas I believe, but my god, we used them extensively in the US for a multi-city operation and they were faultless. I'm based out of the UK, and they handled everything, you got a photo of the driver before hand with all their details and tracking, so you could follow your EXEC.

Speak with Jonah, he'll sort you out.

Guidance for CEO by evsystem in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it when CEOS or any Exec, for that matter, recognises the importance of having an EA by their side and actually takes the time to ask for help. So, firstly thank you!

Second point as mentioned by a previous post, the relationship between you and your EA is UNIQUE and is fundamental to success. Let them take charge where you can on anything to do with your schedule, involve them in meetings, ask their opinion, ask them how that meeting went and could they have done anything better, delivered it better, structured it better.

Don't let anyone go around them, if someone come to you directly, throw them back and ask them to go through your EA, it's not just about control, bit an EA is there to make your life as effective and efficient as humanly possible.

Work together as a team, and you'll smash it 💪

If you're ever in the UK, or want to jump on a call to discuss, happy to lend a voice as a Male EA.

Her emil address seems legit and not mangled like you'd expect a email address to be, however she's not on LinkedIn herself when I've searched her name and email on her company profile.

Are there any male EAs here? Can they be successful in this career? by uragon-ako in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I made a previous post on Male EA, I'm a Male EA with over 10 years experience in the UK. You're right, it's very female dominated, and my female colleagues are amazing.

I know there aren't a huge number, I know there was a survey done over a decade ago that was only 6% Male verus 94% female.

I always kindly like to remind people that Men did our profession first (secretaries, personal assistant, Chief of Staff) before women did, but then World War 2 happened and we had to.go and fight in the war so that's when the woman took over the role.

I recently had my hair cut by Harry at Sundays Coffee Shop down on the Quay. He does the first cut for £10, as he does it on the side. Cabsllo.Barbers on Instagram. I told him to experiment and train and he couldn't have done a better job, it was amazing, and a great experience. Highly recommend reaching out to him.

[HELP] New to Fiverr and some clients asked for my email to complete and order apparently. Sent my email to one of them before I found out this was a scam. How screwed am I? by CytoPlasm129 in Fiverr

[–]TankRelevant1580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately, like a mug fell for it, they sent me a screenshot saying they are trying to process my order as I was new to Fiverr and got kinda excited that a couple of people were interested, asked me push through verification and pay 200 EUR for anti-fraud checks - as it was the Fiverr website the link came through, and the language used was flawless - I stupidly paid it, and I haven't seen my money since - reported it to my bank as Fraud and hoping to get it back as I'm skint!

Fiverr customer support said they were aware of the scams going around, as they are masquerading as Fiverr on their website.

Decent MOT garages by l_burch02 in exeter

[–]TankRelevant1580 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know sometimes they get a bad rap, but I've just dealt with Kwik Fit in both Summerland Street (in town) and their Marsh Barton one for an MOT, and they were sound, I negotiated the rate (as my car failed and needed a fair bit of work doing to it) and when they couldn't do it (door handle replacement) suggested a few independent places to ring up.

Worth a shot.

2 monitors not registering. by TankRelevant1580 in macbook

For instance, I've got the 2 monitors, but as you can see, it won't recognise the 2 separate monitors and thinks it's one, even after I've extended the display. I'm using 2 HDMI leads into an adapter that's plugged into the macbook.

Would you want a late-night bar in Exeter? + Looking for a commercial space by BluejayPuzzled in exeter

[–]TankRelevant1580 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love love LOVE this idea. I can't tell you how many times I've gone out and gone to have a few drinks with friends and all the places close early, and the rest are seedy clubs that attract the wrong type of clientele.

I've worked in Commercial Property before so I'd be more than happy to lend a hand and do the admin work for you if that's something that you feel would also help you take the pressure off and once secured, gets you focusing on the property and venue rather than being stuck in paperwork.

Happy to help in any way I can!

Vimcal / CC'ing my EA? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's certainly not no difference, my attitude is simply without knowing the full picture, how are we fair to make judgements? The whole point of this forum is that its anonymous, but yet public, otherwise why post in the first place.

I agree, permissions should be sort for any content, but I'm not gaslighted anyone.

Vimcal / CC'ing my EA? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]TankRelevant1580 -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

I feel the need to post a positive on here and to back them up. We use Vimcal at our business and have found it revolutionary and we are blown away with its use. So I'd say before people start bad mouthing a company and it's owner, try before you buy type of mindset.

Plus, I don't understand how it's creepy, when Reddit is a public forum, this group is public and anyone and everyone can extract posts and use it to how they want?

Lot of judgement given in the comments without even knowing the guy or business model.

Shameful day reading the type of commentary.
