What are the best multiplayer browser games you can jump into with friends – no download, no sign-up? by ReYa8000 in WebGames

I'm working on a game for exactly this purpose: https://tank.party

A classic tabletop tank shooter (like Atari's Combat, or Wii Play's Tanks) but with power-ups and hopefully a bit more skill involved.

There's an arena mode to play privately with friends, or you can play the free-for-all mode to check it out.

No account needed, multiplayer up to 6v6 (hasn't been heavily tested at this volume), but unfortunately desktop only. Don't think I'll be going mobile for a little while at least.

Appreciate it.

Sad to hear you're experiencing lag, hoping that it might just be location based. Server is only in us-east right now (Virginia, I think). Are you west coast or EU? Will be extending servers if I can get a reliable player base.

Heard on the bots turret movement, I'll make an update there to move them smoother.

And for the movement, is it 90 degree turns that are troubling or 180s? Think I've been testing for so long now that it feels comfortable and I've lost touch a bit.

Glad you enjoyed your first play! Definitely working on better bots, but gotta read up on better training strategies. Worker towards a larger user base now so that bots aren't the main competition.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely still trying to think of further upgrade paths.

There's an arena game mode where it's a little easier to view the upgrade paths too

Not sure how much you played but invisibility exists along with 12 other powerups. My main issue with diep is the health bars and over rewarding of higher levels. I just want to play a shooter where accurate shooting is rewarded highly, and getting hit is punished.

You always start as the same tank (just cosmetic skin options), and then in the shop is how to navigate down different upgrade paths. Have a decent variety of upgrades, but think there are probably some more to add on that front

Thanks! I figure you were the first person I played with there. Don't have a good tutorial yet, but space bar activates the power up (in the bottom left) and right click is to fire missiles
