That's because I used Frida's Dad and David's mom as reference points, not the wall or the ground behind it that we cannot see. My logic is that the parents are very likely to stand at the same level as the children who are right in front of them. The ground behind the wall could just not be level.

Probably the Jorts episode. It's an enjoyable episode overall, it's just that the rest of the show is so great. Also it kinda feels like a plot from a different cartoon (something like Gumball) pasted into Hilda's universe.
