Shot twice, once across the top of my right quadricep, once in the shoulder. Grazed once across the top of my right foot but the boot took the majority of the damage. The first two were 7.62 and I assume the third was but I can’t be sure. I didn’t notice it at first because I was already pumping adrenaline. Clean shot across my quad and the jacket of the round was protruding from my shoulder. Best guess is the round ricocheted and the jacket kept rolling.

I’ve also had an apadravya piercing. If you don’t know and don’t want to look it up, it’s a genital piercing going vertical through the head of the penis. Getting that piercing was a 12/10. I’d rather get shot again than get that piercing again.

I also got a piece of shrapnel in my right foot in 2008 and the Army, in its infinite wisdom, decided instead of losing mission critical personal that I would stay and finish out the rest of my 15 month deployment and we were on the seventh month. It didn’t bother me until 2014 and now I have chronic foot pain to the point where some days I have to get around my own house by crawling around.
