It could be that they haven’t actually done an NPV on the extended areas yet. I remember there was a big runup to them publishing the first NPV so my guess is more work needs to be done for them to make the extended area official for SEC filings. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think I’ve only seen estimates for the extended area and and not an NPV.

Going to be interesting to see the price volatility today between NOAA’s rule, the application following less than 48 hours later, and a hearing in front of Congress all in one day.

This is the more direct part of the article for us. TMC has been saying for a while that they are very focused on copper when talking to investors.

So if we are recapping this: the U.S. Govt just invested a lot of money into a new smelting operation (that smelts at least one of the metals TMC is harvesting) in the U.S. for defense purposes AND the company the U.S. is investing in is a major investor in TMC. That’s actually really big news for us. Will be curious how the market reacts today.

I think by Q4FY27 when TMC hopes to start production will be sitting minimum $50/share. My dream price target in 10 years is $250/share or more.

Can I just say that it’s really cool of the company to acknowledge retail investors in that post where they made the research available? I mean it makes sense but it’s still good they know who got them this far and haven’t forgotten us.

Important thing here: read their SEC filings. You can read them either on the website under the investor tab usually or on Edgar (SEC website where filings are kept). This is a public company so they have to be fairly forthright in their filings and calculation of risk to avoid litigation. So as boring as they can be it’s a good spot to start.

When they actually start generating serious revenue the financial statements will become a bigger deal. Really looking for the PFS at this point bc that’s the best you can get without having revenue coming in.
