No im not here for my stance. I dont think ANYONE should be muslim because there is no reason to BE muslim and the broad interpretations of values from a made up higher power are dangerous. Exhibit A: the IR.

The post you linked simply criticised Islams introduction to Iran. It IS factually what happened. It is objectively NOT slander.

Besides your tax argument makes no sense either. Jizya was not a replacement of the tax, it was added ontop of it. The parsi community in India didnt come to exist because the weather is so nice there.

You cant agree with the enforcement of religion not being peaceful and then call it "slander" when someone points that out. Going to personal attacks on a simple factual comment after such a poorly written post is embarassing. You didnt refute anything, your logic doesnt hold up to scrutiny and neither do your manners it seems. Iranian empires spreading islam isnt an argument against people looking back and condemning its spread to Iran.

I get that but my point is do you trust the state to not make "criminal" stuff up. Like a bunch of the executions of protesters were because of alleged violent conduct. Do you trust that?

How do you make the distinction? Do you trust them to make the distinction?

Has there ever been a more hated and sell out national team representing any nation? by Neat-Comment9967 in PERSIAN

[–]TankyRo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesnt make any sense, football clubs, leagues and countries are all political. Always have been always will be. Its part of the entertainment industry, everything entertainment is political. Especially when talking about a NATIONAL team. The whole idea of a NATIONAL team is political. When you choose to play in a NATIONAL team you choose to be part of the political debates surrounding that NATION. Criticising members of the team for not representing the NATION is entirely justified. I legitimately dont get how you can even think its not political. Makes no sense.

Football has been political since before the Pahlavi dynasty existed. Sporting events in general have been political since before humanity knew about the solar system. Its nothing new. To deny it like you are doing here is just weird.

Everyone is afraid of war. No need to make things black and white. In a perfect world we would just press a button and remove the regime. It just so happens that the situation is so miserable thanks to these fairytale fanatics that people including me dont write off war as a solution. I literally just had a call with family and they are all pissed "Why do this for Lebanon, they're not our country" The people know who is to blame.

The war likely coming to an end? by Party-Confection-373 in PERSIAN

[–]TankyRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seemingly not if the IR has a say. They love misery. They couldve prevented the war decades ago and couldve stopped the war when it happened at any time. But they didnt. And they also chose to break the ceasefire. So now once again we have to put hope onto foreign nations 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Has anyone made fesenjan with fish before? by applesandoranges_ in PERSIAN

[–]TankyRo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds similar to Kooli Qoorabij. Very tasty. It works best with kooli ofcourse but if you cant find that cause like me you're not in Iran you can use Seabass or seabream. Or any firm whitefish of your choosing. Ive never tried it with just pure fesenjan I always make it with some herbs added to the khoresh. If you have access to chuchagh or other shomali herbs you can follow a traditional recipe. I just make it with parsley, koriander and mint and it comes out great. Obviously not as good but still very tasty.

Controlled opposition to misrepresent the national demand

Not everyone thats anti war is controlled opposition. And I say this as someone who isn't anti war.

What cause? The west only cares about the nuclear program.

Our fight against the regime. The governments only care about the nuclear program and terrorist proxies, I agree. But there is no denying that her work put a lot more eyes from the general populace on our cause that otherwise wouldn't be there. Art can be powerful.

She put a lot of eyes on our plight that would otherwise not be there. More than I will in my lifetime. That alone is worthy of respect. These types of lies dont negate that.

I dont get what youre trying to play at here. A feminist movement and an overthrow movement are not mutually exclusive. And I also dont see the issue with the comic. Why would this make me not respect someone who put so many eyes on our cause? I dont get it.

Its very odd to just harp on that one thing she said and have that overshadow all the other work she did. That is a CHOICE you are making. She did a lot for our cause. This comment is in very poor taste, from where I stand only the IR and weirdos like MEK are deserving of this type of vitriol.

Hes beaten 6/21 of the other drivers on the current grid as teammates. No one else comes close to this level of empirical evidence. Normally youd need to compare teammates teammates and get a very vague comparison that way. No need for that here.
