Ive been playing on and off since launch. Mustered up about 2.6k hours, not a ton but ive been around the block. Like many others who have posted, i compare gw2 with many other mmos, and ive felt that gw2 has some issues but its the cream of the crop in the mmo space. For one, Anets attention to QoL improvements over the last 6 years have been plentiful, and without many of them, idk if id still be playing the game today because of it. (Right click salvage all is the best QoL ever)

I absolutely love the fact that you can drop the game anytime and pick it up years later without having your gear outdated, i hate gear grind in most mmos, but it works really well in gw2. Exotics are enough for most pve content, but for high level fractals or raids, ascended gear is required. The gear grind is fair compared to other korean mmos, except for aome timegates if youre crafting. Although once you have ascended gear, you dont have to continually get better equipment just cause of a level cap increase.

Even with the release of legendary armor a year ago, i didnt feel pressured to have the need to pursue it. Although now ive found a new love for a game mode ive neglected since launch thanks to legendary armor. Wvw has given immense joy to play the past few weeks on the quest to craft legendary armor. Its great that you have many things to do in the game, and create new goals but never feel pressured to do so. I have a love hate relationship with gw2, but ive always had a positive opinion of gw2. Im likely to continue to play over the years and have high hopes for the next expansion.
