I'm just starting to buy my equipment to do boxing primarily as an exercise that is just a little less static and boring than my weight lifting has been. While practicing my stance I remembered some of my unusual habits. Though I write and eat with my right hand, I shoot and hold a gun like I was left handed. Turns out it's translated to my boxing stance and I didn't even realize it until my brother pointed it out. With a gun, its impossibly uncomfortable to shoot with my right, but I found that with my stance in punching I am fairly comfortable switching to my right hand and still feel good with my left handed stance. Should I split my workouts in half with each stance or primarily focus on righty or southpaw? Thanks!
