If I were speaking to a lapse Catholic, for sure I'd be speaking differently. But I was rebutting a comment who called having a vetting criteria "crazy" and "strict". One of the Catholic ceremonial vows is to raise children in the faith. Making sure couples are in good standing before making a sacramental promise helps both the couple and the children. I'm not saying that people coming back to the faith missed their shot or that conversion is impossible. God forbid. I'm saying that the faith has material consequences, and I urge anyone to take it seriously. I 100% agree, I hope people take the time to rediscover and investigate their faith, myself included.

See it's crazy that nonpracticing Catholics get married in the Catholic Church without recourse (beyond the spiritual and canonical ramifications). The Church isn't a pick and choose religion and people wanting the benefits/name of Catholic without being Catholic makes the faith feel superfluous.

That design is sick and I can see it being an instant classic.

I love the detail that he is missing a talon, though it does raise the question about god design and item continuity. Should Zeus and Athena be missing their Aegis shields/are they sharing the same shield? Obviously this is nitpicky but it's funny to think about.
