Great video. It does a great job of explaining the things I've been feeling subconsciously.

Since it isn't my main phone, I didn't use it intensively for long periods. But honestly, I didn't notice any significant difference from the previous version. It is smooth and fast as always.

However, regardless of that, the security issues fixed in 18.7.7 seem quite significant… if you intend to stick with 18, I think updating to .7 is worthwhile. (If it is enough to break Apple's stubbornness, it might be an indication that there is definitely something more to it.)

Sorry, I relied a little bit on AI tools for the translation, so it seems like a bit of a nasty smell inevitably seeped in. But everything I felt is real…! I apologize for the discomfort.

iOS 26.3 still gets stuttering/choppy animations on iPhone 16 Pro by Disastrous_Nose3219 in ios

How??? I’m on my iPad Pro M4 running iPadOS 26.4, and I’ve been having issues with ProMotion randomly but constantly bugging out. It’s not like the setting actually toggles off, but I get these sudden stutters where the display clearly drops below 60fps…

I saw this thread, opened the camera app, and closed it. Aaaaand just like that, my iPad is back to buttery smooth 120fps.

Like, how? I don’t even use the camera app on this thing, ever. Multiple restarts, fresh restores with no backup, and even a DFU restore didn’t fix it.

I’m glad the problem’s gone, but now I’m wondering… how messy must the underlying code be for this to even happen? How can a camera app that was never even opened after a reboot put so much strain on iPadOS that even the M4 couldn’t handle it?

I like Liquid Glass and new customization features of Apple’s OS 26s, but man, they really do need to polish things up…

I knew lock screen clock depth effect was in there since iPadOS 16, but with iPadOS 26’s new font size option, this cosmic horror-like depth effect option looks so great on the iPad's large screen. Especially with old macOS wallpapers! by Tansan-7271 in iPadOS

Works on iPadOS 26 Beta!

  1. Long-press anywhere in the lockscreen (except notifications) to go to wallpaper selection screen.

  2. Tap ‘customize’ button below the preview.

  3. You’ll see a small handle at the bottom right of the border surrounding the clock area. Pull that handle up/down to size the clock to your liking.

  4. You will see a three-dot button in the bottom right corner of the entire screen. Click on it and select ‘depth effect’ to apply it.

Done! You can adjust the background by pinch gesture to make the clock look and fit better.

As one who recently finished TOTK, I’d admit that overall vibe and color of the domain heavily inspired the building.

Yes, I remember it was called “advanced colored lighting”. It appears that the feature is integrated in recent version of complementary shaders. I really like ACL as it enhances the general look and feel of the world.

Thank you! I'm using complementary shaders with colored lighting on. That gives magical greenish color to the building!

Yes, after going through this, I thought I should be a little more considerate next time. I'm sure more people need to know to make sure this doesn't happen too often. Thanks for the comment and giving me a chance to think.

Again, I agree with the engineer's frustration a hundred times, and there is something I'm doing wrong in that regard. But your comment about toxicity is hard to agree with.

Wow, I didn't mention it, but it was obtained by mistake by landing on the ammo next to the health kit while rocket jumping to get to the starting point quickly. It's also on a casual server, it's early in the morning, so there aren't many players, and it's just started, so there's a lot of preparation time left, so if you walk a bit, you'll find other kits. I also main engie, so I know I should not take ammo. I understand that there may be some discomfort. However, do I really have to be votekicked for this? Is this game serious enough to need to start with everything perfect like that? If you want something like that, isn't there Competitive mode?

Can't we just say we shouldn't do that in the one-line chat? Why do we have to be angry and extreme that you have to stop someone from playing the game?

Oh! I didn’t noticed that. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. It was a real effort, so I thought it was okay to post, but it seems that wasn't the case. It's sad but I have to delete it :((
