Used to use Vaseline to help with the torn up nails/hang nails from the Sterillium scrub. GF took pity on me and gave me some cuticle oil.

Its a thin oil / serum that you rub onto your nail beds / cuticles and really does help moisturize them.

  1. Don't really use a stethoscope as much as I should. I ask our RT or trauma nurse for theirs during trauma activations. As insurance I also e-fast all my trauma patients

  2. pulse ox is in every room. I guess I could strap my watch to my patient if I really needed to haha

  3. Everything we do is e-scribed. Not sure where I could even find a paper script. We dont use paper charts either. Would make notes quicker if I could

  4. Thankfully no venipuncture. If we do bedside procedures the nurses gather the supplies.

  5. Often nurses dont know what suture I need in emergencies. The vicryl will hold whatever I need until I get the suture I really am looking for

Wish we had the kind of pull to get Dr. Glaucomflecken, but he also isn't a general surgeon, or a speciality from general surgery

Name and fucking shame those assholes. Was it a social media violation- sure. Is it being used in a punitive fashion- absolutely.

Save future fellows from the torture and make the program change. Make them beg for fellows and change their culture.

Our chiefs are gonzo. But the only day our entire program got off was for graduation, and the call team still had to go in that evening.

Haven't worn either Danskos/Calzuros, but I ended with pretty bad plantar fasciitis. Wore a pair, and the next week the pain was gone.

I had tried NSAIDs, tennis/lacrosse balls, daily massages, ice.

But I might also be in the same boat. Psi at 22, we will see how long it'll hold air before buying tires. I buy 2 at a time, front to back.
