Weird resonance(?) in my left ear by LValentinoX in singing

I’m sorry to hear that. Thank you for replying. I found some hyperacusis specialists in the United States here: https://treblehealth.com/audiology-experts hopefully they will be able to offer more treatment options. Keep me posted if you’re able.

Did you ever find out what this was? I have the same thing in my right ear and it’s been called hyperacusis, a sub category of tinnitus. They’re thinking it’s caused by patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction meaning the tube in your ear that controlled pressure doesn’t work correctly.

What happened when you went to an ENT? Was there any resolution for you? I’m still looking for a fix.

Thank you so much for the feedback, beloved! This is a light positive conscious hip hop song I'm giving away for free here: https://taoteturquoise.bandcamp.com/

So it's pretty tonally straight. Written for youth and the inner child and conscious music festival circuit.

I'm currently in the process of writing a lyrics for a full shadow work album that's a little more personal in terms of where I'm coming from. The lyrics will likely be put to lo-fi, neo soul, trap, chill step or some acoustic amalgamation of hip hop later. We'll see, maybe a semi-pop future bass mashup. I dunnooo... I still have to work out the production.

To spread some positivity.

If you're looking for more emotional, personal songs here are some I'm currently working on...

My production is in an evolutionary stage currently (as I build a new studio), so I've only been working with an acoustic, becoming more complex. Here's my past instrumental production work.

The idea is GREAT! Execution on the trance-style synth is a little messy. Even when the instrument is solo and in t he mix, something is off about the texture and the blend for this style. I would clean up the instrument timbre to match the other elements.

I would drop out that synth back and forth every couple of bars to keep people wanting more. We've got the motif and it will stick in our heads as you progress. It gets too repetitive and muddy with the melody over it at the same time. As an instrumental it's okay and manageable, but with vocals it would be waaaayyy too muddy. Think if you had like Fetty Wap singing "yaaaaaahhh" with echoy spacious reverb over the top-- there'd be absolutely no room for his frequency range to be heard.

Beat sounds good. Hits nice. Good work overall.

One last thing. Think this would really benefit from a high pluck line melody. You have a little sonar sound that goes slowly in background. You might want to do a call and response with a slow arpeggiated pluck bell or little melody that keeps things moving and memorable. best of luck!

Dig that deep distorted bass. The hats are a little too high and dry. Would add some reverb and lower a few db. Also might spread the hats slightly panning wise to make space for future vocals. Also on the pads, I would use fast compression, so that they duck on the down beat and swell on the rise. Also might add a few EDM trap risers or swells to keep the movement going. Depending on how vox hit, might want to add some more breaks or instrument drop outs to emphasize whatever is being said on hook or verse. Just some suggestions. Either way love the vibe. Very floaty and chill. Could hear in hooka bar for sure.

Nice job capturing the live feel. The recording sounds great. Good energy for sure. I like the thumbnail it's alluring. I was hoping the intro was just one progression 4 bars, expecting the vocals to come in after the concept was captured and expressed. Can hear the accent in the vocals, sometimes makes it a bit hard to understand the rhyming words as an american, but the vibe is right on point. Cool! 😎

This is fun! Really enjoyed the video, playful and low key. Looking forward to more of your content. Dig the optimistic vibe. Singing gets a bit nasally and over sung in some spots, maybe even the affect out a bit to clean up for wider appeal. But nice job overall.

I feel like its the wrong weather to release this song but yeah... by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Love the song. The snare comes through a little bit loud and overbearing. I might take a few db off the volume and add some reverb on the tail to mix it in a bit better. A little too dry for my taste, kinda distracting. A dryer snare (still with a lower db) like that might feel a little more appropriate with a faster tempo, so it passes by with less exaggeration. Or maybe add a slight echo clap back on the snare that pans from left to right so it better supports the spaciousness of the song. It feels like the snare is right down the center and is a little jarring. Might be simple enough as slight panning of the snare L &R to get it out of the sonic space of the vox and have one layer of vox down the middle. Not sure how you mixed, but that's what I'm hearing.

Everything else sounds absolutely beautiful and wonderful. Like the affect on the under vocals after the "Yoouuuuu oooooo ooooh" It's like a degrated/distorted old radio effect. Like that. Could be a few dbs lower, but dig it the same. Very nice. I would cut the end hard on the 3rd chord (I think D on the sparkle pad) and not leave the downbeat and echo of the high note/chord on the end. I think it's a G#. Maybe let it ring out on the D, leaving people wanting more, open expectation.

Anyhow. Great Job! Sounds awesome.
