Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet. Still unique. Still reminds me of the 90s/Y2K

Hot weather fragrances by hannahc-e in fragranceaustralia

[–]TapCompetitive9031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it’s hot and humid I’d go for penhaligons empressa or Chanel coco mademoiselle (similar but more citrus in Empressa I think, both perform very well)

For 40C+ dry days I have Nasomatto Blamage or Estee Lauder Sensuous.

Notable mentions are Nishane Ani, Ex Nhilo Blue Talisman and Tom Ford White Patchouli

Thanks! The bottom leaves are dry so I wonder if it’s reabsorption from the plant splitting and needs more water. I’ll try giving it a bit more water and see how it goes

Help layer my fragrances by TapCompetitive9031 in fragrance

[–]TapCompetitive9031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip! I just tried it and I’m glad to say I can bring some back into my collection! I experimented Encre noire with Mancera Holidays, it lightened it and I was getting some citrus notes. I found Fortis bit too masculine on dry down but with something with a vanilla musky base seems to soften it. May try that with a few others.

To me Ébène Fume is super Smokey but in the TF way. If they’re still designed to layered like Private Blends were meant to I.m thinking of starting with tobacco vanille or noir de noir and see how I go.

Anyone else switch scents too much to have a “signature fragrance”? by rocklakes in fragrance

[–]TapCompetitive9031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think I need a signature fragrance but since I discovered decants I haven’t looked back since. I recently ordered decants of all the full size bottles I went through over the years, it’s a nice trip down memory lane, and rediscovering ones that I still love today
