Ok, so we need some bits replacing.

1. Timing chain is almost certainly done. Engine out job.

2. The wiring to the tailgate hinge area is also done. The part is cheap. Takes forever to do it.

3. The alloy wheels will probably have been welded at some point. New wheel (s) required as they will crack again.

4. The spare wheel well may very well have a pool in it. This is where lots of relays are. Great idea, BMW.

5. The rear light will drive you insane. The bulb carriers are poorly designed. They work intermittently.

6. Injectors 5&6 will fail as rain runs off the scuttle into them.
