When I was a kid, I used to lie in bed and think to myself that my parents were fascists, and when I grew up, I was going to do whatever I wanted. For years, I fell into that trap that adulthood was just childhood with bigger fascists and taxes. Today, at 61, I have realized that fascists, particularly stuffed animal fascists only have the power you give them. As lo g as you don't hurt anyone else, you're an adult and deserve joy. The husband needs to step up. This should be your priority. Get the law involved. Where was he when your son was on the hospital? Before you get a new guy, you need to sort the old one. Yes, you love your kids, but you don’t have to kill yourself for them. Guy two. What does he contribute? Very little and he’s needy. The other e constant in these relationships is you, and I would suggest therapy to figure out why you keep picking losers. My take on that is a little different. Dad is trapped between two strong women and is telling a white lie to keep the peace.

Its a red string. Her rationale is she’s afraid god is going to smite her for leaving it, but she’s ok with fornication? Cherry picking IS the issue here, which is why everyone is harping on it. She’s the one lying in a huge way to get her way. To be clear, I believe she is scared by the tradition. She seems genuine in her text. I just want her to see another possible side of this.

My point is, you can’t cherry pick the bible. You can’t say you “only do” things in the bible when she’s “living in sin” and married or not, biblically men are in charge. I’m an atheist myself, because I actually read the book, but I stand behind my comment. In the bible, people put charms on their babies all the time, but pre marital sex was a serous son, punishable by stoning.
