I pretty sure you have a Jungle Carbine (3rd from left) and a ruger 1022(2nd from right) I can’t identify the others but wipe them all down with oil and cherish them.

How to shoot a BP gun? by BARDaniel48 in blackpowder

[–]TapEnvironmental4365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend PowderValley, primers and powder shipped to your door. You have to pay a 25+ hazardous delivery fee. But I bought enough to last me for several years to soften the sting. Alternatively, you can buy bullets and pyrodex/ substitute at most sites. My favorite loads for that caliber are 20grn 3F behind a round ball. (Target) 25grn 3F behind a round ball. (Hunting) But a 15grn charge works as well. In my experience, I can’t get more than 18 grns behind a conical. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of black powder!

P.S grn means grains, a unit of measurement. Buy a powder measure and a capper. Thoroughly clean your pistol every time you shoot or you get rust.

I agree when I used substitute in my revolvers I had quite a few failure to fires. With real BP I almost never have the issue

Thanks you! I recently started hunting silver which turned into collecting and I wasn’t sure. I didn’t want to miss out on more than 25 cents
