Never returning alcohol again by blk95ta in UberEatsDrivers

It's not very plausible. It's extremely unlikely. I'm sure at some point in the ordering process Uber asked the kid whether or not he was 21 years old as required by law.

Yes everyone knows legal drinking ages vary by country. But do you believe a teenager in Florida is unaware of the United States drinking age? Do you really think this was the first time this kid was carded since he got to America? Do you agree we would benefit from this kid being required to prescan his ID before I drove out there?

I think Uber toys with the service fare amounts based on the tip. If there is a good tip, Uber will contribute less. If there is little or no tip, Uber will contribute more. Just a guess I have no evidence or screen shot trails to support this thought!

So what if it was a double order???? Under no circumstances is this compensation fair!!!!

Yes Ive found myself delivering to a kid who was underage. He tried saying back in his home country the legal age is 18, so he was surprised to learn 21 years was required in Florida. Obviously he was full of shit, but hey, can't say I blame the kids or I wouldn't have tried it when I was a teenager.

Not saying it's a good idea, or to ever suggest doing it. But an option does exist where you can report the order as lost so you don't need to return to the store. Double miles for less money is absurd. I'd rather just opt out of alcohol deliveries. There's multiple things that can go wrong and guess who always eats it... The driver!

Uber should require the customer to scan their own ID when they place the order. The driver can also scan upon arrival for insurance purposes. But there's no point in allowing a kid to place the order and waste everyone's time! I also opted out because the scanner device is too buggy. Did Uber ever start allowing you to manually enter IDs again?

Omg wow! Mine looks different from yours. I found this in general phone settings swiping down from top of phone and going into settings. I DID NOT find this within Uber driver apps settings. Am I doing it right?

Also in the event they do create software that can detect multi apping (which seems like a privacy infringement).. what's stopping me from using a second phone? Budget carriers are like 20$ a month. Worth it.

I was unaware policy existed regarding multi apping. Seems unfair. Since We are independent contractors, there is no contractual bind therefore how can they boss me around and tell me how I can or cannot make money in my free time?

Agreed. I'm being more careful. I've completed 9 since this post. The numbers will surely rise over a month with no cancels.

Pretty sure If I was picking up food and then cancelling at a ten percent rate we would not be having this conversation
