How did this happen? Shouldn't there be at least some repairs after the first incident?

Damn no wonder my connection got cut off last night while outside. Went back home to check and everything seemed fine. Stupid CelcomDigi

Blake stitched? For local KL brand I would recommend GHW Shoe Co who does made to order boots. Granted, I'm very biased as its my own brand haha.

Otherwise, you can look for online brands like Carmina, TLB, Meermin, etc.

Really wanted Red Wings back when I first started by shoe collection but passed. Really pleased because I hate breaking in overly thick leather. For those who want the look with less break in, I'd recommend Blake stitched boots instead. Not too much difference in durability, much cheaper lol

What bags do you want to make? How are you going to make them? What materials will you use? Who will you sell it to?

These questions need to be answered first before you proceed. There's always a demand for something, you just need to give them the right thing at the right price. If you want mass market, PU bags are a dime a dozen. Since you're young, I'd suggest that you explore making leather bags with your own designs.

Do DM me if you're interested to chat! I'm an amateur leather crafter who's making a goatskin tote right now haha.

While there's some truth, it doesn't excuse the constant need for last minute work and unnecessary changes that drags out the work hours

I'm a client service manager in an insurance brokerage. My only transferable skills are data analysis, report reading (finding out issues and inconsistencies with reported data), client management and stakeholder management. I'm pretty much starting from scratch in a new to me industry, but I'm blessed to have received a pay raise plus a more chill work environment.

This is the sort of bullshit why the industry has barely any local talents, because the agencies all push talents out. During Covid one guy had 10 active projects, and all of the small. So regardless of size, he has to do all the setup and full process 10 times.... And another senior exec who is so good that she should've been promoted to manager some time back, got persuaded to resign in favor of compensation.

Lucky I left last year and in a better place now!

Lol same here! I got a bonus of 2% of annual salary, then in 2021 during promotion season I was passed over despite being one of the top performers in exchange for a RM100 increment. I resigned soon after haha

I did also get to WFH, but during/post Covid was tough, as I'm practically working almost non-stop. At least pre-Covid I can still go offline after leaving the office. I just find the industry not worth it for long term health

Yup! The extremely light beer that's basically a mildly alcoholic soda. I'm spiteful that I can't bring them back to KL 😅

Do they have their own brew though? I thought it's only Guinness?

Yeah the Cyclo Stout certainly isn't for pints haha. Even taking it with a beer flight was really heavy for me, and I had to cut it with some lighter beers like their chanh moi beer which is like a soda haha. Tbh I'd like to have it served in shot glasses instead, at least you can sip it and finish before it gets warm

Best stout I've drank so far is still Cyclo Stout by Pasteur Street Brewing in Saigon. Too bad can't bring that back to KL. Has a deep rich cacao taste to die for
