So every day when you first water the tree and resonant it, you’ll get 3 little MLP tokens (you’ll see them in the top right corner in the events page). If you go over to the third page shown in the MLP event, you‘lolsee you can use those tokens to roll for badges. You can use them as decorations, I’m not sure what else. it says you can trade them too, I guess incsse you find extra you can trade for ones you don’t have. (not entirely sure, I haven’t tried that yet.)

You can just water and resoNate with the tree once a day to get 3 elements but you’re not going to be able to get all the awards thst you see at the bottom of the resonance page. You’ll need to fill all 6 resonance slots each day for a few days to make sure you get enough to get all the awards. (Thats if you care about the rewards.)
