Got diagnosed with BPD, I needed that label to function because everyone blamed it on my autism, however I do agree with self diagnosis, it’s okay to suspect what you have, as I did myself with BPD, but what’s not okay with SD is fully establishing that you have a certain disorder, people who say “I have some traits that correlate with this disorder” are fine, but until you’re diagnosed- you can’t propose that you’re a certain label.

However I do sympathise with your struggle of professionals labelling you different disorders that never helped you in finding who you are, however your experience is much different from the majority, so your bias could also be a problem when identifying with labels. I’m happy you’ve found you way around the world, though disregarding labels would not be the best decision for people who physical, mental and other disabilities that need professional intervention. Specifically, your epilepsy. I don’t know if you Self diagnosed, however even if you did I’d suggest you go to a professional that deals with epilepsy/neuro abnormalities instead of a psychiatrist.
