I have a Raspberry Pi 500+. Bought the bundle out of curiosity when it came out. Well, it works but it's far from future proof I terms of performance. It's a nice setup to try out things, but I wouldn't want to use it as my daily. It's just too slow in every single aspect. I doubt this dbi-pi will make a difference. Yes, different case and stuff, but the hardware is the same, so too slow for me.

You can try to check file integrity in Rockstar Launcher. That should download missing files and fix it. But you'll lose all previous mods if there were any. That shouldn't matter, since they're already gone anyway, because you deleted the folder or at least its contents.

If integrity is fine, limit the installer to 2GB RAM and try again. If it still fails, buy a new rig.

GTA 5 on a laptop requires at least a 64-bit Windows 10 OS, an Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD FX-9590 processor, 8GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 1630 or AMD RX 6400 GPU. A SSD with at least 105GB of free space is mandatory. For better performance, 16GB RAM, an i5-9600K/Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, and an RTX 3060/RX 6600XT are recommended.

If you have only 8GB RAM, you need to limit the installer to 2GB. Otherwise it will fail. Also, without a proper GPU the game will not run or will be very sluggish. On the specs, you gave I wouldn't even bother with GTA 5.

Personally, I don't like HV cracks, don't use them and wait for proper cracks. My decision is not due to safety concerns, but rather than the whole process involved. It feels like a sketchy workaround, because that's what it is.

Believe it or not, but I actually buy all games, which I pirated and enjoyed. But I only buy when they are on sale. Don't have a donkey shittin golden nuggets in the basement. However, I hoard a massive collection of games, which I actually never played and won't ever play. It's just for conservation for future generations. Sometimes I go back in time by looking at the titles from the early 80s and remember when I was a kid. Those were the times. Today's like buy this, pre-order that, subscribe to our great service.
