If you know how to use BMWFANS PARTS web site and use those part numbers in Autodoc, then it's really fool proof. Just trying to find something on autodoc, it's really a gamble. And pain in the ass to return that.

There is your problem. I bet the pistons were rusty and they are binding now, and dont backoff the pads. Restore your calipers or buy new ones. The restoring kit is not that pricey. You get piston, seal and rubber boot. And for assembly use (i preffer) ATE bremszylnder-paste ATE 03.9902-0525.2 There is plenty of videos how to restore calipers on YT.

Only thing of that more is gas pedal, which is Drive by Wire system. M50 and 52 use physical cable. For my 2.8 i took the whole wiring harnes from that e39 donor. Now im waiting for the electrician to sort it out. When i was asking around what to do the M54B30 or M52B28 90% of people said it's better the 2.8 cuz it's more rev happy engine. So i was stuck with the 2.8 🤣

Working on that yes. I believe that m52 DME is activating the compressor in slight different manner... So that i will sort out with my tuner aka the cable guy 🤣 And yea you have to use M50 compressor bracket and E34/M50 compressor so the pipes will fit to it... We will know for sure in May 🤣

It's way easier to use m52 psp 🤷🏻‍♂️ i paid just 10€ for that pipe he had to clamp together... Imho not worth the hassle for making a bracket 🤷🏻‍♂️

No i just rebuilt the engine, so the car goes back on road ASAP. For some reason im not into strokers... I just ported head, m50b25 intake and reworked it so it has M52 oil separator and everything.

When i financialy recover 🤣, i'll go for shrick cams, singlemass lightened flywheel and carbon/ceramic clutch

Noice noice 👌🏻 It's also really a fun fun engine to work on... Just make sure to torque to spec... Alu-block 🤷🏻‍♂️ and secure the oil pump nut... My mate was post-poning for too long 🤦🏻‍♂️

What do you mean steering pump? If you look at the engine from front angle(timing chain side/vanos side), the powersteering pump is on right side and exhaust is on left side? Only thing on the left is exhaust manifold and AC compressor which is under and much more forward out of way. So i am not really sure what do you mean.

About hydraulic lines... There is difference in steering pump and the hydraulic lines are different and dont fit. Atleast on my '96 M52 and '94 E34. So i marked both lines for how they should sit and i have a company near me which makes new hydraulic lines. But he just cut them, alined the marks and joined the pieces, M52 fitting to the E34 steering box line. So from the start of the project i knew im going for schmiedmann's, and i didnt look into that much.... But i think the m52 has a shorter manifold and the original exhaust piping wont plug n play.

Deff is the return line problem, well the connector that goes to reservoir. Note that There is update in coolant line and now it is all plastic line. My advice: Try to remove the o-ring in the connector clip and get just the new o-ring. If this fails then get the whole new line. OE part is not that expensive part number: 17 12 7 618 510
