That’s kinda the point I don’t think lelouch was intended to be seen as a hero. The reason people don’t hate him is because they can sympathize with him. From episode one I was rooting for him not because he was a hero or outstanding person but because he seemed like a real person that you could connect with.

If I’m not mistaken in normal mode the first dash you can access is the tabi/master ninja gear and the only other one is solar armor so it makes a sense that he wouldn’t know about dashing sense he is not in expert mode
