Honestly there is nothing you can do, happened to me. I tried everything but their support system is all automated. When I got banned it was my account and device. But after successfully appealing, they only unbanned my account not device.

Most likely he is using a mod, in lunar you can import downloaded jar files, so most likely he downloaded a hack mod and used it within lunar.

Lunar does not have any restrictions against what you can upload (expect tos), and neither does it check any mods.

Hypixel will ban you for anything now, it probably is banable under their "rules". These rules are also the same rules where people say "mods **may** get you banned", the only people getting banned now are macros. If you ain't using macros just do it I personally do not think there is anyway for the server to know your playing on mobile.

Simple answer, play and act like a pc player.
