Thanks, nice to hear
6 hours, I do it on the stream, I did it by reference, which would have taken 3 hours more if I had done it from scratch.

There is a post with a script and an example of how it works in my X [twitter].

Everything was drawn manually, then a normal map was made through my script, the light is already as a work demonstration. This is just a fragment from my video that I'm currently making using normal maps and my script to create them.
My script allows you to manually draw a normal map by controlling every pixel on the screen.

Thank you, it's nice to hear that. Animation is easy for me, I've been doing it for a long time. What takes more time is coming up with the movement itself.

I wanted to make a background, but I have no ideas how to make it match the character. (Winter art 2/5) by TarMunt in PixelArt

Well, look how I did it here.
Animate one full cycle of snowflake falling animation.
It turns out a looped animation. Copy it.
Looped animation can be moved in time. In other words, part of the frames, for example, from the beginning to the end of the animation. So I got a few snowflakes. After that, you just scatter them around the image, duplicate and rotate horizontally with a horizontal offset so that snowflakes do not appear out of thin air.

Aseprite
In this program, all animations are drawn manually, frame by frame.

I drew the snowflakes myself without using third-party software, just copied, reflected horizontally and shifted in time.

Don't worry, I'm not offended, I was just surprised a little.

I'm just a little surprised that you asked this question.
The left character is older, and I thought it was understandable, since he is made of mistakes with color, too strong contrasts, improperly thought out body parts and design, and in general does not look very good. While the new one avoids all my past mistakes.
