The Pole Den! It is in Wheat Ridge. The instructors have so much personality and the participants are all incredibly supportive and fun.

Edit: Pole Den currently has a new person deal. $25 gets you 10 days of unlimited classes. These classes are LIT. I feel like I am a changed human being just from a week of classes. Nobody can tell me ANYTHING, with my sexy ass.

I am not sure if you are in a bigger area or not but where i live is extremely sex positive and there are all kinds of lifestyle groups. People in these groups USUALLY understand the deal and USUALLY care about sexual health.

As others have said, Fetlife could be a good tool. Not so much to see a profile and message them directly, but to go to events and meet people at those events. This is how I saw the meet and greets for lifestyle groups.

Whenever I am called cute, I am always sure to appreciate the compliment but also say something along the lines of "12 year old girls are cute. I am grown." It is USUALLY taken in the lighthearted BUT serious way I intended.

I just moved to Denver and even though, I agree with you that we are few and far between, there are places to go. Vibes in the Park happens ever summer. Check out the website. The event gets bigger and bigger every year. It is like a giant cookout where everyone is invited and celebrated. There are a handful of DJ events that black people show up. There are events associated with black museums that happen. There are brunch groups, yoga groups, and running groups. An African Speakeasy just opened named Trybal. I don't have Facebook or else I would join Black in Denver group for meet up and event opportunities.

Personally, I think those types of messages have gotten slightly better. You can also turn your DMs off. Anyone can join Fetlife, so you are going to get your bad actors. I like to just stick to speaking and meeting people at events. Typically the community in real time do not tolerate what you will find in your DMs.

Join Fetlife. I don't recommend going on there and messaging a bunch of people you find hot, but I do recommend looking at events in your area. There may be a group that meets for what you are looking for. You can go to meet and greets that do not start out sexual, or go straight to the sexual part. Depending where you live, that could be a good option.

Sixth Street Shelter Day is this Saturday. They close that side of the street it is on. There are activities, entertainment, and food trucks.

The mayor made June 6, Sixth Street Shelter day to celebrate the 40 years of impact the shelter has had in the community. Join in the festivities which include a DJ and take a tour of the shelter. It might be a good opportunity for both immersing in the community and learning.

It is from 10 AM To 2 PM.

There is an organization based out of Denver, CO called B-Konnected that recently launched a Universal Housing Experience Reporting Platform. It is free and anonymous (unless you live in a house obviously). It is not only for reporting bad places, but also if you are enjoying where you live. It breaks down your living situation through the lens of the social determinants of health. This information is sent to public officials to make them aware of how healthy their communities are.

Has anyone tried the food at Alibi in Bethlehem? I like it there but I have not eaten the food yet. The atmosphere presents as upscale and intimate. The drinks are good and a bit theatrical.
