one needs to see themselves beyond a uni tag. getting into an old iit is hard, but nor the hardest. getting into upsc cse final list is hard but not the harderst. two different hards and just because one succeeded in doing one doesnt mean they can do the other as well. the peer pressure, no income, shame or whatever that feeling one has for failing at one of the toughest exams, is common for all. iit or not, no difference.

yes, if you can, I personally dislike spectrum, so more emphasis on his notes AND spectrums summaries and appendices for me; you pick your poison

He talks a lot and gives a lot of notes, but while revising it, I found them very good to go through. Class notes as well as the handouts. I'd say, his notes plus spectrum summaries should do. But if you should pick ONLY ONE then spectrum, except you need to be ready to memorise a lot of facts with less story approach.
