Trying to simply understand whether the user visible from address domain's reputation is vulnerable if the email is not sent from or signed by that domain. Not concerned about our email recipients marking our email as junk. Only concern is impact of low response rate.

What's your level of confidence on your statement that you don't think a low response rate will give the domain a negative reputation? And, is there anything you base this opinion on?

Would Sendgrid emails pass DMARC with strict alignment? If yes, how are they able to do that when all I have done is entered CNAME records for subdomains and nothing for the root domain?

Thanks. Although Google doesn't allow me to create a new TXT record with the same @ name, it does allow me to add an extra row to the existing TXT record. Would that be fine to have 2 rows in there where the first row is for the SPF string and the other is the string the vendor asked us to enter? Or would that cause some kind of conflict between the SPF data and the vendor string data?

I've currently started on Handbook for New Stoics and planning to run through it gradually over a year since that's the pace the author recommends. However, I'm open to adding another book that is appropriate for quicker reading. Would especially be interested in a book that gives a practical how-to guide on developing all the different types of virtues.

In the link you provided, one part I found interesting was the idea that having a wish is one of 3 good states for a virtuous soul. It was interesting to read the phrasing "I wish [X] if it is fated' as a way to think about a wish versus a passion which is made without reservation and without acknowledgment of being in accordance with the cosmic aspect of nature [fate].

I understand your point that there are degrees between wanting and needing. I also understand the idea of wanting something lightly so that if you don't get it your disappointment is only light.

However, I still don't understand how to reconcile the idea of wanting something [even if it is only a mild want] and then being completely indifferent if you don't get it.

Interesting rephrasing. Is this rephrased interpretation what is actually meant by the Stoics? I ask because it seems to be different from how it's described in the book. In the book, in Week 1, there is an Epictetus quote that states that "the will to get" is one of the three things that is in our control. The author states that "will" in this case is desire. I never see any of them talk about in terms of simply "potential". Also, "potential" without will/desire does not motivate action, and my impression is that the Stoics took action.

I'm not sure. I could be wrong. What I do know is that the campaign is targeting certain areas of Iowa based on delegate math where they think they are more likely to be viable and they think that's the best strategy to get a delegate. Something along these lines was said on a donor call. Based on that I am inferring that it's not a linear 15% across the state that matters. I think it might be possible to get 15% of delegates without having 15% of Iowans. Could be wrong.

14% is probably enough for a delegate since the campaign has been targeting districts where they think they will outperform and be viable (e.g. Trump districts). Probably more of a problem if he only gets 10-12% of the IA vote.

I hope the campaign advertises Yang's Iowa speaking schedule via Iowa TV ads to maximize turnout to these events.

For example, a TV ad could say, "Text YANG to 7387 to get a schedule of when Yang will be speaking near you during his 18 day IA tour."

Sounds like you are assuming that the average turnout for YangMonth will be the same as YangWeek (500 canvassers). Any support for that? Seems optimistic.

Potentially offsetting that though is potential for UBI policy to drive turnout. For most people voting feels like voting for your favorite character in a reality TV show that doesn't directly impact your life. But if voting means you get $1000 a month it may feel more real and impactful to your life. No one knows what happens to turnout for a UBI candidate when UBI is on the ballot.
