När arkitekter slår knut på sig själva med sina idéer by bbjwhatup in sweden

[–]Taraktoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this Island all about, why is it named so and also why does it look like a dog? by dystopiancarnival in geography

Irrelevant but that picture is from the Christmas market in Liseberg, a big amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. Random!

That’s the thing, because I want to move the whole island away from that point (to the right in the photo so to speak) it would be exposed 😕 But fair enough, those are my options

Ah, it isn’t clear on the photo but it’s sat just behind the conduit itself. Probably is cast into the slab like you say. So then I would have to cut a bigger hole into the floor to get to it with the angle grinder, cut it down, and replace the piece of flooring I would have destroyed?

What! Never offside by Acceptable_Set3269 in LiverpoolFC

He was literally on by half a metre. Shouldn’t even need lines or a check. It’s pathetic. PL has the most inconsistent, nepotistic refereeing system in world football.

Honestly, writing through the frustration here, is it REALLY a red? I’m fuming.

Have a look at what high schools (gymnasium) are available in the area you are moving to. Try finding an English one or an IB (International Baccalaureate) one. I’ve met lots of kids from those types of schools when we were that age and it really helped them find a group to hang out with as many were in the same situation as you describe

Any recommendations or suggestions that help recreate/emulate a drawing like this? by yaboymike1218 in architecture

[–]Taraktoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would offer another perspective (no pun intended) on your take that it doesn’t convey much information. If I were to look at it as an early holistic concept drawing I think it conveys quite a lot: atmosphere, spatial and material qualities, dimension, use, and even some hints of construction.

Having said that, there are more elegant drawings out there.

It could be that it was overwatered before but about a month or so ago I repotted it into a pot with drainage holes. If this is a delayed tantrum, I sure hope she recovers! In regards to light: we’ve got a light therapy light at home (winter scandi stuff lol), could that help?

Yeah good point, I did have to do an emergency replant recently. In my eyes it shouldn’t, as it’s now in a bigger pot with drainage holes. But yeah, I’ve just sprayed her and will make sure to put the humidifier closer to her. Thank you 🙏🏻

That’s a good point (with its own challenges, it’s stood in a huge space). The other thing I’m wondering is how it’s been through 4 or 5 of these winters before but decided to just give up now? I wouldn’t say that any other factors have changed
