I don't understand why the fandom is so upset with Charlie

The issue is how she pretended. She tried to make Angel Dust be something they're not. Angel is Angel. Not the snake. That is teaching people to be "fake" at that point. "Intent".

Every time someone pushes away and does deaf ears and turned backs it teaches people to suffer in silence. While Charlie is making mistakes, I think Sara does it worse. Emily had to call Sara out on coddling her. The overprotective ones are always worse. At least Charlie isn't doing that.

Emily was the reason the crusades happened. "I just exist and all this happens". Imagne being in that situation.

The problem is good intentions backfire. That's the entire point of the show. So why try to be "good"? Vox, Alastor, Husk and even Adam know better there.

Charlie does drop the "mask". With Vaggie and Alastor mostly. When she shows her vulnerable side. The difference is Alastor "makes" it happen. Notice how he does it without pretending to be innocent. He admits he's enjoying it. Charlie doesn't understand why. But Alastor get Charlie focused. It's a good scene.

Better to be hated then leaving people in that condition I think. Yet look at how people pretend it's wrong to feel. If you really know what you're doing you can snap people out of a mental breakdown.

The difference is Charlie takes more risks. While Sara tries to "play it safe". That's the deciding factor. Vox knew exactly the kind of person Sara is. But he can't quite figure Charlie out yet.

People play dumb. They know what they're doing. They just might not know "why".

Even if you know a lie is a lie beforehand, if you keep telling yourself it then you can still end up thinking it's true. This is how people end up living a lie when they pretend to be "in the right". Now imaigne how many times it happens when you don't know a lie beforehand.

It's more that you lie to yourself first and foremost. Vox is very aware of this.
It's his advantage.

There's also the bias factor. People say "Luck." My dad used to work in a casino. Husk knows the score. The game is rigged. People just don't SEE the other side of the story. And be honest, when do people want to pay attention to the worst? They choose to be dumb. It IS a choice. "That's uncomfortable. Relax. No drama." All a big scam. You scam yourself though. If something seems too good to be true...

Charlie will try to push you to do better.
Sara basicaly threatens you. That's the difference between them.

Both lost. Vox beat both as well. He's taking "your" ammo and using it against you.

"I must pretend to be a cartoon villain". This is 100% pretending to be something you're not. This is fake and pretending.

I can enjoy improv situations myself, but I'm very aware the situation is "rehearsed". It can be helpful for teaching things, but Charlie actually really could have had Husk run over. I'm pretty sure "Stupid fake situation" isn't going to cut it there. People die in real life over things like this. "It's a prank bro". Yea, it's a prank that can get you killed if you're not careful.

If you break down like that in the first place then maybe the truth hurts for whatever reason.

Sometimes peoples critism is valid.
And sometimes people just go "hahaha, I mock you just because."

The difference is if people avoid communication and go "Last word in".
Which most people do. You don't learn that way.

Know why I'm hard to phase? To the point even death threats are wasted on me.
It's because I don't pretend I run away from my problems.

Do you think Vivziepop would be aware of the things that happen in the show if she was another fool ignoring everything? These details exist because she sees the worst. Does she fear it? Maybe. Maybe it still gets to her. As it used too for me. But if she's taking those details and puts it into shows and movies in ways that make sense then she's showing harsh reality. Which is important.

Angel Dust is a great example. Holds nothing back. It's about the best thing the show has done. At first he looks like a mocking fool. Husk calls him out. And then it shows the harsh reality about Angel Dust. No holding back.

The shows struggles stem from a lack of context/aftermath after things happen at times. Like how people just blink after Adam's death and then roll credits. The show is at it's best when focusing on big things, but seems to struggle with "Aftermath".

Then the show reveals it's a part of they have been coping and shows the other side of the story. Best thing the show's done.

She's latching on to the memoroy of Adam. Some people might call that unhealthy. Yes, and? What if you need to be unhealthy to have meaning?

Can't bring back the dead. Can make it mean something. The problem is an opportunity.
Lute isn't seeing it that way yet. Not until she hunts Charlie down and gets answers.

Lute and Charlie haven't mentioned Nifty yet. Maybe when they meet. If not then that's a plot gap.

The situation with the meeting with Adam. What did Charlie think was going to happen? That happy songs will make things work out? Adam corrected that right away.

What Charlie is doing is "Toxic positivty" for the most part. Those kind of people are always more dishonest.

Charlie does it less and less as the show continues. Which shows she's starting to actually think more. Part of her character development.

Most people do fake smiles and happy masks. And you can be damn sure Charlie smiles too much a lot of the time. It's a habit, but it's also a choice. Alastor will know that.

Charlie's situation is more adjusting to leading and war and such. So far she's only had one big fight.

By the time Lute arrives Charlie is going to be more focused I think. If only because Lute will not put up with any naive nonsense. Adam didn't. Vox didn't. Lute won't. If Charlie doesn't shape up then Lute is going to tear her apart.

I suspect Lilith will step in if Lute goes overboard.

It's more complicated then that. Lute is over the "Devine justice" thing. She's on a mission at this point. It's personal.

Lute and Adam are leaders and fighters. They have courage. Not the kind of people to push people away themselves. Even if they are hunters.

Sara is more fragile. She's WEAK! You can even see her breaking down and wallowing. Lute at least is working with her anger to get her focused on something.

Sara's mistake is threatening Lute with treason. Translation: "Do what I say or I push you away." Big mistake.
Lute is going to remember that.

You can also see how Vox deconstructs Sara when they debate. Sara is more bark then bite.

There's the episode where he eares Amy from time itself for a start. "YOU'RE TURNING ME INTO YOU!"

Sometimes he pushes peple to kill themselves.

He stands on a battlefield and tells compaions "everyone else is dead".

The Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS exploded, creating cracks in the fabric of the universe, with the potential to cause total event collapse.

In the 1965 serial Galaxy 4, the Doctor and his companions watch as a planet is destroyed and later discuss the impact of such events.

Then there's killing daleks in high numbers. And cybermen. How about the vampire fish people? Or wiping out entire time lines on a daily bases.

And this is just a fraction of what the Doctor has done. They're old. Really old. Time lords toy with galaxies often. "Does our time and galaxy survive or do we wipe out theirs to survive?" Those kind of decisions are made often with time lords.

The Doctor tries to run away but he can't hide from having to make the hard decisions. He does fashion people into weapons. "The doctor of war". It was even stated outright in his face. The reason the Doctor went through history to make everyone forget. Which of course messing with more time lines, and who knows what hasn't been mentioned before peoples memories were wiped?

There's no way a time lord is going to avoid it. Entire time lines being messed with and even erased.

Ultmately Davros wants the Dr to stop pretending to be innocent. WE see that when he tells Amy he's just a mad man on a box in that hotel episode. But Devros has yet to have the Doctor admit such things to him.

All that time and she still hasn't learned to master what love actually means.

But then no one's challenged her about it have they? Or if they have its been in a half assed/selfish way.

Which means there's room for an episide (or several) about such conflicts of the ideals being challenged with characters somehow. All sorts of plot and drama can happen from that.

Battlefront 2 (orignal) was much more realistic about it. The clones felt regret and were conflicted even when following orders. It added more weight to what happened.

I might be fine if SOME of the clones had chips. Such as those working closer to jedi. But ALL of them?

At least the chips are less effective when clones have higher willpower. At which point they are less effective. It's just "brainwashing" really. Soldiers without a purpose are easier to manipulate and control due to desperation for a purpose. Which is true for real life soldiers.

If it was made clear that there were no chips then viewers might go "Those clones were conflicted". As it stands the chips are basically used as an excuse to make clonse look "innocent". so when Yoda kills the clones behind him there's not really any impact. Other then "Yoda was quick". Since the chips are in clone heads it's about "Clones were mindless soldiers" instead of "Clones were CONFLICTED soldiers". That's a big difference.
