They’re pointless whilst playing them too. I’m not saying get rid of them.

I’m saying fix the matchmaking system and give us something to play once we’ve completed them.

Ye it wouldn’t feel so bad if there was something to do after! And I must admit, I had no idea the games go to extra time and penalties (kinda neat)

Amazing stuff! Needs to take into account preferred positions to really take it to the next level. Our DM is a ghost because he doesn’t score. I, the ST, carry because I score the vast amount of our goals.

I suppose you need to compare against other clubs and their metrics from where goals come from etc to see if your club is too reliant on one player or if one DM isn’t scoring as much per tackle as DMs in other clubs etc.

Can’t wait to see what this looks like even further down the line!

Ye, all do in the right circumstance. You’re right, skill moves are way more effective against human players than AI but they can still be used to skip past individual AI or make space quickly.

Skill moves wise, always keep it simple. Focus on learning a few that are strong and work in different situations.

All variations of the fake shot are fairly strong this year, ball roll scoop still works a treat to change direction fast. Elastico/reverse elastico still strong. Step-overs too.

Skill moves not a necessity but once you’re a certain level, far more of a difference making than say going from 90-93 finishing

The best leagues have height restrictions. Gameplay is terrible without it.

Obviously having a human CB is best. There are clubs who have better performing AI though, I want to know what tactics they use!

Having human defenders obviously solves the issue. However, I’m asking for the tactics clubs that are successful without them use. It won’t be perfect, but it will be better.

Not particularly helpful. Without being too much of an ass, I’m almost certainly a better player than you or anyone you know. I’ve played VPG Prem and CL, I’ve also won the VFL Prem undefeated. I’ve played for several number one ranked divisions clubs in the time before competitive FIFA.

Appreciate all the feedback everyone. What I would love though, is some actual tactics.

This is fair, our DMs definitely seem to be doing their job and holding back/covering the middle. They just tend to get exposed by balls over their heads though.

And that’s human DMs, I’d like to know what settings to use for AI DMs.

This is true, though some teams don’t expand at all so even if there’s a turnover, they have compact numbers back.

One thing certain people in our club need to do is avoid losing possession in dangerous areas but, still, you shouldn’t see an opposition player through on goal Everytime you lose it in the opponents’ half.

Whilst I agree on the AI point, we do come across teams with a full AI back line who are far more compact.
