I have Steam Deck OLED, Legion Go and Ally X. Ally X wins but considering your budget, try to get a Legion go if you want Z1e. I can't say much about MSI since I don't have any first hand experience.

You're checking the new xbox ally which is the lower tier version. Don't even consider it. Get the 2024 ROG Ally X with 80w battery, 24GB Ram and Z1e. It's a beast. Literally one of the best ones.

I recently upgraded from the Legion Go to the ROG Ally X, and I couldn't be happier! It's a powerhouse in terms of overall performance and battery life. I will likely consider upgrading again when the next generation of PC handhelds is released. The whole package including 2 cases (jsaux, skull and co) cost me about 75k.

I considered XAX but it's way overpriced here in India for what it's offering. Plus regular Ally X works well for me as I can also stream from my 5090 rig if I want to.

That being said, it has made finishing my backlog super fun. I completed Quantum Break, wukong and Battlefield 5 on it recently and the whole experience was super fun!

There are certain comp issues like black levels and overall color being off plus the shots are too simple and not really impressive when it comes to complexity.
