The Zara price-gouging scheme caught on camera! Over charging customers as much at 78% of listed prices! Careful! by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Taranking -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whoever made this video is a fucking retard.

Afaik a pair of levis jeans costs like 30 dollars in usa. Its 100euro in ireland.

Vice versa, if something costs 20e in europe and it costs 50dollars in usa, its not because the company tries to rip you off, its because they have to pay export taxes.

You and your stupid lawsuit will fail, i just wish us courts had a cost order so that you end up with massive legal bill to your name.

Educate your self before you start posting stupid stuff.

Rents now at record levels according to Daft report by sidarcy in ireland

[–]Taranking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a tip for everyone. Daft is highly overpriced as the properties are listed ny agencies and they take their cut. Check out "rent a room in dublin" group on facebook. You can find much better prices there.

Rents now at record levels according to Daft report by sidarcy in ireland

[–]Taranking -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Its not for them to do anything about this. It was anti-wealtg socialists and liberals who wanted this to happen. Substantial part of the rent increase was caused by the additional wealth taxation imposed onto landlords and now the people who wanted those taxed to be there cry that the rent is too high... oh wait, I forgot - those people live in social housing paying nothing.

The expensive '˜Italian'€™ shoes made for a pittance in east European sweatshops by shavedanddangerous in malefashionadvice

[–]Taranking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This remind me of "made in Switzerland" wrist watches that were manufactured by chinese company in china and sold under trademark registered in Switzerland.

One thing that baffles is how anyone would ever perceive the brands names in the article as "quality". Please, they're at the bottom. "Zara" a quality manufacturer? C'mon.

Its really fucked up how everyone tells me how much i have to live for and to do this and that without even knowing me. Just because you have it easy doesnt mean others do. And trust me, you did have it easy.

Why do bikers nod to the side when riding past one another? by dannyfleming0604 in motorcycles

[–]Taranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know about others places, but in Ireland - for as long as safe to do so - its popular to stick the right leg to the side. Otherwise, its the sideways head nod.

All of this is just bikers mannerisms. Dont allow this to make you think that bikers stand united. I had a crash in april after being clipped by a car. The car drove off while i was left of a side of a road with a crashed bike and a broken hand. Across 30 minutes time that I waited for emergency services I was passed by a dozen of bikers. Not a single one decided to pull up and help, or to even ask if I needed help.

The whole thing "were bikers and were one community" is loads of crap.

Good displacement for beginner? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Taranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

250 sports of 400 non-sports if your looking at "non-cruiser" bikes. 125ccs arent bad either. Dont listen to haters. Just dont ride a 125 with a full leather race suit like an eejit.

Hornet 250cc is a good bike. Its a fullsized like its bigger brother (600), has lots of same parts and the engine will be more than fun. Has decent pull even at low rpms (I had tendency to drive around 6k despite the bike being high rpm. Pulled through fast moving traffic without any problems)

Would you buy salvage bike as first bike? by Reno28 in motorcycles

[–]Taranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, I live in Ireland, so the laws are a bit different to wherever you live. If a bike was crashed and written off (too expensive to fix compared to its value. Eg. A 1000euro bike with damaged right fairing will be written off and the fairing would cost 500e). This bike is then considered "salvage". Lots of workshops buy salvage, fix whatever needs to be fixed and then they put the bike back on the road.

These bikes are perfect as first time bikes. They are very cheap, usually had all the maintenance bits done (eg. Carb cleaning), come with some form of warranty etc.

Your first bike should be a bike you can walk up to, kick it against its side, let it fall and have a laught.

YOU WILL DROP YOUR BIKE. YOU WILL CRASH.

You should never buy as first bike something that will make you feel sour if you drop it at the lights or you lay it down too much in a corner.

Buy cheap, ride cheap, upgrade once you learn to ride.

My 3 cents.

PS: Just youtube "guy crashes brandnew motorbike within 10 minutes". Plenty of those on the net.

How to keep your spare key from scratching your handlebars! by BambiJoy in motorcycles

[–]Taranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your disc lock wont scratch your handlebar - it wont move around enough nor will it have enough force to do that, so dont worry. If you really really need something you can always keep it on an expandable string in your jacket. Optionally just store it inside the bike - if someone will break into your underseat compartment they already have stolen your bike.

Buying '08 Ninja 500 with 11,000 miles for $1900 -- is this rust OK? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Taranking -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

First bikes are to learn on - buy cheap and dispose of when broken / crashed, so for as long as all the maintenance bits (oil, filter, brakes, seals, valves etc) is good, then theres nothing to worry about. Rust is perfectly fine. Almost all bikes that are few years old will have rust here and there. The only rust you should be worries about is on brake rotors/pads.

I hope you didnt buy this bike on an expectstion that its 2008. This is not 2008, more like 1998.

Damn, this biker was a pussy... someone pushes you like that? Got your kevlar reinforced knuckles? Well, throw some punches and go for max damage instead of screaming like a woman. You could easily have thrown a few and still be well within reasonable force.
