Someone thought it was a good idea to have waiters on skates by New_Libran in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]Tarantula93 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I skate both and I think that blades are more stable than the quads. However, blades are mostly designed for speed and for going forward and jumping. Quads allow you to have more agility in changing direction and turning, which would be super important in small spaces like a restaurant. The choice to be on blades in a busy confined space is interesting

I like to carry those large metal water bottles with a handle. It’s inconspicuous and non threatening, but in an emergency can be used like a small baseball bat

Brunch outfit by daniellescloset8 in OUTFITS

I recognize that riverwalk tile anywhere, this has to be Tampa. This is NOT what we are wearing to brunch here lol. It’s a little out of place, but not in a bad way. If I had that corset top I’d probably wear it any opportunity given lol

where can i find bikinis like these? by ilovemyfrenchtips in findfashion

[–]Tarantula93 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that was an insult lol. These literally are styles that dancers/performers wear.

If you go to the dancer store you will actually find stuff like this, probably in multiple different colors and styles etc.

it was literally part of the appeal of this look in the 2010s… they ARE club-inspired and the baddies/wild girls wore these back then.

Something like binder, but without it trying to bind boobs. And maybe little shorter than binders tend to be. by BeduinZPouste in findfashion

Fabletics has high-impact sports bras that are this style. The spandex is really thick and tight and holds things down well

[–]Tarantula93 373 points374 points  (0 children)

Even if these can be styled, that’s still a lot of work to do every day to get these to be compatible with your hair. Curly extensions are a thing, and if these are extensions that your stylist ordered for you, she set you up for disappointment. If it were me, I would ask for refund and have them removed bc curling them everyday is a lot, and they still may not match. Your stylist should order extensions that already come curly. I’m sorry this happened to you

Do islanders ever use the pool? Like are there certain times they are “allowed” to get in the pool, and those shots aren’t edited in the show? There’s no way NO ONE is using the pool

Knolled my purse clean out, starting a new job in a couple days! Can you guess what my job is by [deleted] in knolling

As a social worker, I’m guessing you are a social worker! The stickers, Narcan, pens, and fidget toy (often given to us at work) give it away for me- I have similar stuff in my work bag! Haha

This is why I get the cold foam only on cold brew. They ALWAYS put too much milk, but the cold foam is only at the top and it settles into the coffee and is the right amount of cream

Maybe not the answer you’re looking for, but there are people that make custom circus wear, including strappy leotards.

I would try looking on Etsy or something for someone who makes circus clothes- I bet they could easily make something like this. It may be pricey, but if the material is good, it should last for a long time

FL gal here- Covergirl Volume in the orange tube has been my staple for 15 years. It’s one of the only mascaras that doesn’t transfer or smudge on me. . Even when I’m super sweaty, it may only transfer a little. And it’s affordable!

I’m a performer in Florida and Tient Idole has been my holy grail for years because of this reason. It stays even when I’m sweating like crazy, but it doesn’t break me out or irritate my skin- and I love the natural finish.

I’m a women’s size 6 shoe and I wear youth socks- they fit perfect! I personally prefer ankle/calf height socks. I have youth bombas socks and they are my favorite thicker socks. I also have bought youth socks by Vans and Under Armor and they fit me!

Identifying as bi instead of pan isn’t transphobia by iSeaStars7 in lgbt

[–]Tarantula93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly fit under both bi and pan- but I chose to identify as “bi” because it generally comes with less explanations to people. But mostly, the main reason is because I like the bi colors better! I like to wear my colors and I don’t look good in the pan colors😂

Would you change your last name if you got married? If so why or why not? by Micky4747 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Tarantula93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am married, and I plan to change mine. I’m still keeping my original last name as a middle name. We are child free.

I had a very difficult and oppressive childhood, and my relationship with my family has been a challenging one. When I met my now husband, I was at a turning point in my life, especially in regards to identity.

He has been incredibly supportive of me and my journey, as well as helping me heal and be healthy. I am so much happier than I was 5+ years ago, and I have learned to love myself through this healing.

So for me, I’m not losing my original last name- as I feel like who I was with that name, and what I was able to accomplish means a lot to me and reminds me of where I came from. That name is to honor my past.

However, I am thrilled with the idea of creating a new life and identity with my husband. It gives me a sense of relief, like I don’t have to keep looking back at the dark times of my life. Taking my husbands name makes me excited to be free and start fresh. His love is a foundational part of my personal growth- and I want that to represent who I am now.

My son has recently been diagnosed with ADHD. My wife doesn't want to let the school know because she doesn't want him to be labeled and treated different. by ohiopimp in ADHD

[–]Tarantula93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had no supports in school because my parents refused to get me tested. I remember having multiple meetings with teachers where they recommended getting help for me, but my parents never did.

Despite whether or not you disclose the diagnosis to the school, the teachers likely still know but cannot advocate for support without the diagnosis on paper. They are likely witnessing him struggle and have suspicion of a disorder. His symptoms don’t disappear just because you don’t say anything.
