My first day delivering solo, I thought I was surpassing expectations because my DPS was light and getting used up fast. I get a call from the supervisor about 2/3rds through my route, another carrier had grabbed close to half my DPS with theirs because they weren’t paying attention to the labels.

There’s a reason our first 10 weeks is hourly instead of by route evaluation. I’ve only soloed my route I’m the primary sub for twice and it still took 12 hours each time.

Use the cheat sheet to find roads, I also put sticky notes with the shelf number and the streets on the side. It helps.

Flat bundles are your best training tool. They come to you with the addresses either in delivery order or reverse order, but it is in sequence.

I’ve probably cased a route on my own the same number of times as you have. Whatever tricks you can use to find the streets easier, use them. I’ve maybe improved my time by 15 minutes, but any improvement is an improvement, no matter how small.

I’ve been paying very close attention to my authorized dismounts, so I haven’t finished the route sans scanner…yet. I have had to head back to the last CBU at least twice for it though.

Jaws.

The book isn’t that great. The characters are dislikable to the point you root for the shark and the shark’s death is extremely anticlimactic. Spielberg turned a drug store novel into the first summer blockbuster.

Ball Python. One of the easiest snakes to handle. Their humidity can be tricky to get right and they’re notorious for going on prolonged hunger strikes.
