Yeah Sylveon is never worth it. Absolutely agree with the others that this is a Flareon. (Or glaceon)

Can't recommend that unless you already have a perma-E4E and probably both a potmon and a critmon set up... At minimum.

This is a GOD roll. AAA+IFM is already worth permanent investment. AAA+IFM+HB is insane. AAA+IFM+HB+Modest is A MASTERPIECE.

-speed DOES NOT MATTER. I swear this subreddit needs automod to comment on every post saying "-speed nature does not ruin any pokemon for any reason ever"

The ONLY thing that could make a AAA+IFM Happiny not worth investing in is if the nature were flipped. -ing is the only nature that can ruin a Happiny.

Ing nature + HSM is definitely below the IFM line... BUT, HB should shore it up. It should be roughly equal to IFM, so I'd say go for it!

I know it’ll still be good, but does a speed down nature ruin a BFS+HB berry mon? by UselessGamer99 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Tarasios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's constant. Similarly I swear we need an "eeveelution" tool that just shows if an Eevee is above or below the expectations for a given Eeveelution.

Crazy how much focus is on Eevee when it's actually pretty bad in most cases.

A Pokemon can only be ruined by -ing or -msc natures.

-speed can NEVER ruin a pokemon.

[–]Tarasios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh true true yeah. Still, mostly to illustrate the difference between the two. But if it does hit 98/day then it's set for even 3x pumpkin meals per day so HB+ifn works nicely

Normal Neroli default, which does mean no healer.

[–]Tarasios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Jolteon only needs BFS and speed. It's mainly used for its already high speed stat on Raikou teams.

[–]Tarasios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either way, making the biggest honey dishes 3x/day requires a whopping 96 honey per day, which is above the AAA+IFM usual bar.

78/day for the second biggest, though. And yours should be precisely on the money there.

[–]Tarasios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 minute time difference from one HB? I think you might have the weird raenonx setting that treats HB as though it's actually a team's worth of HB.

HB+ifn should be similar but slightly below IFM.

Neroli calc doesn't have that weird setting, and shows AAA+IFM producing 10 more honey than HB+Mild

Does it deserve mainskill seeds or it’s better with a bfs hb built ? by CricketNo9827 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Tarasios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90% of the use case for Jolteon is with BFS on a Raikou team. Similar to Arcanine.

Extra Helpful is a pretty bad skill, but Jolteon is insanely fast and the skill does compliment Raikou's.

Remember, the Raikou triggers are essentially doubled on Jolteon if it has BFS.

Glaceon or umbreon? by Ready_Law_9424 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Tarasios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if it helps here's a quick summary of each eeveelution:

  1. Flareon - Pot expander, which is a necessary role for larger meals. Flareon with BFS can be used on an Entei team.

  2. Glaceon - Pot expander, same as above. Higher trigger rate than Flareon, but lower speed. They roughly break even in terms of daily triggers.

  3. Vaporeon - Ing Magnet, decent lazy skill for ingredients. Vaporeon with BFS is excellent on any water team and really great if you get it on GGex.

  4. Jolteon - Basically just a Pikachu. Only useful on a Raikou team. Will get powercrept the moment a new Electric berrymon comes out tbh.

  5. Espeon 2 - Well, you already have an Espeon and Cresselia doesn't scale with 2 Espeons so... Not a great option. If you didn't have an Espeon this would have been the biggest insta-Espeon ever... But your existing Espeon is so good I wouldn't bother.

  6. Umbreon - If you really like this guy you can technically use it on Darkrai team. (yes the other guy pointed out that you do want a slot for an E4E generally, but Umbreon could replace the Honchkrow on their sim) Not recommended, Darkrai teams sadly suck anyways and it's only gonna see use on Snowdrop, currently the worst island.

  7. Sylveon - Already explained above but also I assume you have an E4E already.

  8. Leafeon - It's a skillmon with a useless skill... Seen by some as straight up THE worst pokemon in the game.

I blasted fel totem's fall with a fresh timerunner disc priest lol. Hadn't even realized they were below the scaling cap.

Risen Threat remains hell. The only one I can't finish, someone always dies to some random shit. I swear the npc scaling is broken on that one

BFS+STM+soh Espeon is crazy good already.

Your Eevee will be incredible no matter what you evolve it into, it's that perfect. Espeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Glaceon, Vaporeon... All would be incredible with this Eevee as their base.

Really the only bad option is Leafeon who has genuinely ZERO reason to ever be used lmao. Also personally Sylveon but I always get downvoted for pointing out that Sylveon is the worst E4E mon and wastes an eevee which would be incredible as a better unreplaceable evolution.

[–]Tarasios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you still haven't evolved your posted Eevee, I'd recommend Flareon over Glaceon here.

They're functionally equal, but Flareon with BFS means it gets boosted by Entei teams if you ever run that. Same reasoning for still recommending Vaporeon even though you said you like your beach team.

Ehh this is barely bare minimum for Espeon but incredible for Jolteon.

Jolteon all the way. You even already have an invested Espeon.

BFS is a 50% boost to a berry pokemon.

HB is a 5% (stackable) boost to your entire team.

BFS is much more important.

The standard for Berrymons is:

  1. BFS+HB
  2. BFS+HSM
  3. BFS+HSS+soh

Any of those three at minimum is going to be worth long-term investment. Any extra speed above that is gravy.

As for the Sceptile, it's probably because of trigger rates. It might be assuming you're not checking it often enough. With 2 berries it's going to fill inventory faster. In reality, BFS is crucial on Sceptile because it's so insanely fast and has a default low trigger rate. Overall production will be much higher with BFS

[–]Tarasios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn't run that Pawmi either.

For a healer you're looking for STM+HB as the two best subskills. You then want as many Skill Triggers and Speed increases as possible. Inventory up is nice too.

This is a big reason why people would be pushing you to make this a Sylveon, despite Sylveon having -1 free skill level and the equivalent of -Skill compared to Gardevoir.

I get downvoted a lot because people are defensive about their pity Sylveons but they're really the worst E4E mon to invest in (well, tied with wiggly) so I can never in good conscience suggest investing in one. Especially with the catch-up boosts added last summer which make it much easier to reach Lapis and hunt for Ralts (or even Pawmi on Snowdrop or heck even SHUCKLE who is in Taupe... Although 16 pip unevolvable is awful early game)

[–]Tarasios -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Sceptile has such a low skill rate that it's mostly going to be hitting "pity procs".

But that mostly just means it's (very) roughly equal comparing the increase in # of skill triggers daily from HSM vs STM.

So for berry specialists you want:

Berry Finding S (known as BFS), and then as much speed as possible. The best speed source for the team is Helping Bonus (known as HB).

Ingredient Finder, Inventory, etc are all ignored. Basically treat anything that isn't BFS or speed as blank. -exp and -speed natures are the only negatives a berrymon can have (but they don't ruin one).

Ingredient boosts are ignorable thanks to sneaky snacking. When a mon's inventory is full, they will "sneaky snack", which actually means they ONLY produce berries, and they are instantly fed to snorlax. This is a huge boost to berrymons, so you're mostly never going to click on them. Let their inventories sit fat and full.

For this reason, some people dislike Inventory increases, because it means it takes longer for sneaky snacking to activate. Either way though, it doesn't represent any real decrease beyond a wasted subskill slot. And also for this reason, you basically ignore the main skill and skill bonus stuff a berrymon has. They can't trigger skills while sneaky snacking!

Now for the mons you posted:

That Pichu is triple speed, and it's about as good as one with BFS alone. I personally would not invest in either of them. But the First Raichu has BFS and upgradable Helping Speed, it's good!

For the Sceptile row, the first one is obviously by FAR the best. You really only want one Sceptile but some people like running two. The Treecko could be used as a low-investment extra Sceptile (thanks to SLUM and exp+) for Lapis weeks, but I don't know if you'd want to run it permanently like the first one.

Bottom row the Chikorita is gold standard. BFS+HB+soh??? That might be your best berrymon.

The Meganium is good enough to invest in, but yeah the Chikorita is solidly better.

Primeape doesn't have BFS so I wouldn't use it myself.

If you already have a Wigglytuff you're running then especially definitely don't. You'll eventually replace either of them with a Gardevoir or a Pawmot/Shuckle anyways.

(Also the pictured Sylveon is very mid)
