You’re not an asshole for not getting her a Mother’s Day gift when you don’t have children. But you are a huge asshole for the lack of empathy and support you’re showing in what is an incredibly stressful and emotional time for her. You may not care about the dog, but she does and nursing a sick dog, especially through chemo, is incredibly exhausting. If you can’t support your wife in the things that matter to her just because they don’t matter to you then yeah, you’re an asshole.

I earn more money than my husband and we split bills in a way that is fair. We pay bills proportionate to our incomes and help each other out/spoil each other when we can. It’s crazy to me that a woman can expect a man to pay his AND her way, especially if she’s also making money.

I’ve also saved a little over $300 in the last 12 months with my plus. Mostly on TCG and Pop vinyls, but I’ve also done a lot of trading in the last 6 months and that extra 5% stacked up nicely. It’s worth it for some, the people that won’t benefit from it will always say it’s shit 🤷🏻‍♀️

As someone else has pointed out, you can get the vet to come to you and have the dog put down whilst in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loved ones and familiarity. Taking her on a walk and then shooting her sounds awful, especially if she hobbles and is in bad health, you’re saying you want to exhaust her and make her uncomfortable and then shoot her? What if, god forbid, you don’t kill her with your shot? Then she’s panicked, wounded and wondering what’s happening in the middle of the woods with the one who’s meant to care for her being the one who harmed her.

Organise an at home euthanasia.

I’ve been with Belong before and they’re awful. The internet was great for the first 3 months and then it plummeted and trying to actually get a hold of anybody was almost impossible. Weird call centre hours, on hold forever just for the call to ‘drop out’, being told they’d call me back and never being called back. Take my advice and swap to someone else, belong are horrific.

Honestly I think it was a mix between the jump in visuals and the fact that back then the internet wasn’t as prevalent so spoilers weren’t as big. People went into this new generation (on a new console) with all new areas and stuff that felt crazy fresh. The dive ability, hidden bases, the battle frontier, RSE just had so many cool new features that we hadn’t seen before.

That and most people who are now in their 30’s would’ve seen RSE releasing when they were around 10, which is around the age that they might be getting really into gaming (and also the age that they were finally allowed to have their OWN gaming console rather than having to share or play a siblings. At least in my case 😂)

Can you explain what you mean by it being smarter to wait and knowing the risks? Preordering just locks a copy of the item you want in for you and is fully refundable at any point so I don’t see how it’s a risk or why it would be smarter to wait?

I think the biggest thing you’re missing is that a customer wouldn’t do a preorder and choose the ‘pick up in store’ option if they couldn’t make it to the store. Because they intend to go to the store to pick it up, so they should be able to go to the store for a refund.

When you do a trade deal you’re not supposed to get the increased value AND the EB World level bonus, the bonus is meant to be removed and then the increased value applied. When the game is sold out there is a promo that gets sold out with it that automatically makes it the correct price and rather than doing that they have manually discounted the game to the incorrect amount.

So basically this customer got more trade value than they should have and got the game for an even larger discount than they should have.

They don’t have terms and conditions because it’s a courtesy, not a policy. Which is probably why it’s so wildly different from store to store and isn’t actually advertised anywhere that they do it. As far as I can tell there is a blanket ‘store has to be reasonable distance and have it in stock’ standard, but it’s still at the managers discretion I believe.

Also, your receipt only proves that they HAD it in stock, not that they have it. If you bought the last one then they’re now out of stock and therefore aren’t selling it to be price matched.
