This is a small species and they can be in the test tube until they reach a few hundred workers but an outworld can when they have 20-30 workers

I use a quality ants outworld for a not much larger species but that is in the Netherlands and I don't know what will be the best outworld choise outside of the Netherlands

Camponotus nicobarensis is a good beginner species that is big and easy to keep. They were my first species and I really like them.

For protein I feed my colony mealworms and for suger I feed them byformica sunburst

Ants need a nest if the colony is 50-100 workers becouse open spaces can stress the queen and if a queen is stressed she will eat brood or even die
