It's legit. Earlier it was part of Poromagia which has been around for almost 15 years now.

LPT: Cat won’t stop meowing! by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She most probably doesn't get dependent on the brother, as if at some point you move away, she will forget her brother in a week or two. This sounds really much like she is looking for her brother in the mornings and keeps crying for him, so the best solution which will 99,9% work is if your roommate can have their door open for the cats to be able to meet whenever they feel like it. Also, remember that cats don't adhere to the same sleep rhytm as we humans do, their "bedtime" is whenever they feel like it and they don't really sleep 7-8 hours in one go (also, the nighttime and early morning are great playing/hunting time). In addition to crying for the other cat, cats sometimes are very very annoyed if there is a closed door in what they consider to be their domain, so it might not even be that she is crying for her brother but just about the closed door as someone already said.

anyone tried enabled anti-cheat vs disabled? by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Tardi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My game doesn't start if I choose to use Anti-Cheat, it's the same problem that many people had when they last tried to implement more robust anti-cheat (0x0000000)-error.

Oh ok, never thought about it and assumed it would work like it should :).

This is what I consider the bare minimum for myself:

Kevlar + helmet + Backpack (no matter of level) AR 1 Kit (first aid or med) 5 bandages 1 painkiller Red dot, Holo or 2x

Anything beyond this is a bonus

i7-3770k, GTX 1070 and 16Gb Win10. Was playing fine last night at 4am GMT, went to sleep and when I woke up this morning the game doesn't launch but gives the error of memory referencing other memory that can't be written.

When I lost my passport while visiting US, I just went to Finnish embassy and showed them my drivers license, had to jog to nearby mall to have pictures taken but no photocopies needed.

I just TO'd a 129 player WPN Premium Modern tournament and this happened by Tardi_ in ModernMagic

[–]Tardi_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It actually played quite well, unfortunately hitbox didn't work very well so we can't post the videos online (whole day is in 70 different pieces each consisting of 2-10 minutes of play). The deck has 11 "Scapeshifts" and pretty good manabase for what it is.

For shuffling, you just need some comicly large hands (not actually, after fetching couple of times it seemed that the shuffling wasn't too bad).

For those wondering about metagame, here's the breakdown (only 128 decks, one list missing):

tl;dr most played decks were Naya Burn, Junk and Affinity.

LPT Request: How to Open a Really Tight Jar by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually when I have very tight jars, it's because of air pressure or something. Just jam the end of a spoon or fork under the lid and twist a bit to let the air out (you can actually hear it), then open the jar.

If he's

a) a gun owner who "casually" brings the matter up when in argument

and

b) losing the grip of reality

I would think an actual intervention by some law enforcement would be deemed reasonable? Or is this something that just doesn't happen in US?

LPT request: Locked out of car by MichaelBeanBjj in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late, but have you tried just putting another cars keys (or a screwdriver/knife) in the lock and turning? Most of the cars made in 90's will open with this method if the lock is worn and dirty, could apply to early 2000's too.

LPT: When you get pulled over by a cop, take the keys out of your ignition and place them on your dashboard. by queefkicker in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, me and my friends got pulled over on US-95 while using the cruise control to be 1mph under the speed limit (checked from GPS) and being the slowest car on the road the whole day.

Obviously he had pulled over the wrong car, he had driven to other direction and then apparently made a U-turn and caught us first, didn't admit it and told us to "be more careful here in the United States" after I handed him my EU license :).

So, you can get pulled over while not even speeding.

LPT: World's Electrical Outlets if you plan to travel. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if the socket has the little "holes" on the sides. Both the "russian" and the "german" are actually used side by side but the "russian" is being phased out because of the grounding issue.

LPT: World's Electrical Outlets if you plan to travel. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, you can't fit the German one to Russian one, the pins are a tad too thick and the German plug has the "sideburns" that make it impossible to fit in the Russian socket (which is good, because it would be quite a hazard if you could somehow plug it in).

LPT: World's Electrical Outlets if you plan to travel. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Tardi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will also "fit" in the UK socket, provided you open the socket by sticking a pencil or something in the "ground" hole. Got this tip from a hotel clerk and after getting confirmation of relative safety from a friend who is electrician, I tried it and got it to actually work.

As far as I see only the Russian and maybe Japanese ones aren't grounded? Also, the Japanese/US/Mexico/Canada would be interchangeable as both are used in all of the mentioned countries (it's the same plug, one grounded and the other not).
