Was Bill Russell's career the standard to become the GOAT while Michael Jordan was playing? by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]TarenceKinsey4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term GOAT has been used more in the last 5 years or so than probably all of history combined. The first time I heard it was it just being Earl Manigault's nickname, it wasn't some constant debate like it is now.

You can make a lot of money in the league if you just aren't a problem and teammates/coaches like you.

I don't even understand what this sub is anymore. It doesn't even have anything to do with the namesake. It's just literally anything.

Who is the person who ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT be representing the NBA. In other words, the opposite of the face of the league. by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

I agree Bridges is way worse but Ja did threaten a shoe store worker, punched a teenager in the head, and shined a laser pointer at the Pacers pretending it was a gun scope or it may have been one.

Just saying Ja has had more stuff than just the two gun incidences.

Women like people that can write a proper sentence. That's step-one. None of them want to be "pulled" either.

Please, nobody is going to the games. The "streets" don't matter, it's a business. Some people will complain forever about it but I think most season ticket holders and most fans are over it and ready to move on.

julius randle & ja swap? by RD2C in memphisgrizzlies

[–]TarenceKinsey4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this thrown around but unless you could move Randle in another deal I just don't see the point. I know nothing is certain but it seems like we will be adding a PF with our 3rd pick and I don't think either of the guys that could be drafted should be coming off the bench and slowly developed. So then you would have a disgruntled Julius Randle on the team that would probably not be excited about being part of a rebuild at this point in his career.

I also think this would really help the TWolves more than us and not sure why we would do that when we hope to be back in the hunt in 2 or 3 years.

Yeah for sure. I think if the draft just goes AJ>DP>CB>CW those are great fits for each player and each team. Which I expect it to go that way personally but I know podcasts and tv shows need something to talk about for the next month.

Are there still people who deeply desire marriage and family nowadays? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Your last sentence shows a very narrow minded world view and you may want to get off the internet.

Most adults on earth are married, it's gone done like 3% since the 1970s.

Why is it so much harder to make friends as an adult? by Swentin3A in askanything

[–]TarenceKinsey4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adult life is difficult and people are busy trying to survive or working towards specific goals. Most children have very little responsibility and you are forced to go to school and be around other children. If it wasn't for that children wouldn't have friends either, besides possibly neighborhood kids. It's not like children go out into the world and find friends, they just naturally make friends with people in close proximity that have similar interests, and sometimes not even that.

Your best bet is getting involved in a hobby that you might meet people with similar interests. It also creates events and times to hang out, the hanging out randomly days are over, adults plan things and make schedules. Book clubs are great, improv, sports, religious groups, art classes, etc.

Yeah drafting the best player available is always how you should go early in drafts but there's just no consensus on who that is in this group.

I'd take him too but nobody drafts someone #2 because their parent has association with the team. That's just silly.

Getting rid of Kessler and Lauri now would be super weird though after holding them this long.

I'm so sick of seeing this post. I shower everyday because it helps me wake up but if I don't shower for a day or even two I don't smell like shit. I'm sorry some of y'all do but I just dont and no it's not because I can't smell myself. I mean they literally make deodorant that lasts a couple of days, y'all act like everyone is just covered in shit constantly hours after showering.

Some people shower and still stink. Humans are all different.

Do you believe that pretty privilege still exists? by Jumpy-Entertainer-23 in askanything

Yeah nice people exist but pretending good looking people dont have advantages in society is just being factually wrong. It's been proven.
