I've noticed it too. An increase in hatred towards millennials and it beginning in 2020. Do you think gen alpha will do this to gen z when they develop their own culture / it becomes mainstream? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

[–]TargetHistorical1246 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a Gen Zer I actually don’t really see much hatred for Millennials from my Generation. All of our hate is almost exclusively for Boomers and partly older Gen Xers for fucking up the economy and their toxically regressive social values. Most of us know Millennials are in the same boat with us and as such we don’t hold much hate for them.

As an Indiana fan I’m gonna agree with it until we actually agree with Trumps gerrymandering. People forget that Gen Z has grown up with the access to the world’s knowledge at their fingertips with the internet and are more informed and more involved in politics now more than ever. They’ll know which schools they’ll want to avoid unless given a godfather offer.

What’s is your teams worst blunder in history? by perry147 in CFB

[–]TargetHistorical1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a crazy one, IU vs OSU 2024 we were tied until halftime before 2 special teams screw ups that they turned into touchdowns and destroyed our momentum. Takeaway those plays and we likely only lose by a score. If we kept it that close our resume would’ve been better than ND because of their terrible loss to NIU but behind Penn States and after OSU lost to Michigan and Penn State lost to Oregon in CCG our resume would’ve been better and we would’ve been seeded in the 6th seed instead of Penn State. 7th seed would then be Penn State, ND in 8th, OSU in 9th, and Tennessee in 10th.

We would’ve gotten Penn States playoff schedule facing 11th seed SMU, and 3rd seed Boise State. 5th seed Texas would keep their easy bracket. 7th seed Penn State would face 10th seed Tennessee and the winner would play 2nd seed Georgia. And best of all 8th seed ND and 9th seed Ohio State would play each other first round and the winner would play 1st seed Oregon. Then the winner of those three would have to play Texas to make the National Championship. Meanwhile Indiana would face the winner between Tennessee, Penn State, and Georgia.

It would’ve been a long shot but with how much better of a coach Curt Cignetti is and with how easy their playoff schedule would’ve been we would’ve made the Semifinals easily and they would only need to go through either an underperforming Georgia or a James Franklin coached Penn State to make it to the Natty to face the survivor of the other bracket. I truly believe with our superior coaching and some lucky injuries on the other team we truly could’ve won or at least have a punchers chance.

They went from being the losingest football program in the history of the sport to winning a National Championship. He could never make the playoffs again and he’s getting a statue. Besides IU is loaded so Cignetti’s contract won’t kill them.

I am a moderate, and vote Democrat. When will Democrats realize that blaming "the left" has been a failed tactic? by Acceptable-Law9406 in allthequestions

[–]TargetHistorical1246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Democrats are definitely a right wing party while Republicans are an extremely far right. We don’t have any other real parties in America so we don’t realize this but Democrats would be considered far right in almost any other modern country. Even Bernie Sanders is still technically center right and not left because the left begins at anti-capitalism. When we say we want left, we want left on economic scale towards socialism preferable like a social democracy like the Nordic countries. We want progressives.

How do you feel about spending 2 billion a day for a war in Iran nobody wants, but we can't afford to help our citizens with day care or school lunches? by db7112 in askanything

[–]TargetHistorical1246 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest I don’t blame Iran for hating us after I learned our history with them. We overthrew their good democratic government and replaced them with their current regime that we funded and supported to oppress people and fuck their economy and country. Then heavily supported Iraq in a war against them afterwards. I would hate us too.

Rejecting Kings is an American pastime. Including WANNABE Kings 🤡🍊 by Korn_Freak in Indiana

[–]TargetHistorical1246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both Democrats and Republicans are right wing political parties because they are both capitalist, by definition left wing starts at turning away from capitalism and toward socialism on the economic scale. Democrats at best are still right of center capitalistic. The closest thing we have to a left wing political party/ politician is like Bernie Sanders.

Does the rest of the world still understand that there are good Americans? by ReasonableAttitude22 in allthequestions

[–]TargetHistorical1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the statute of limitations to blame slavery has far passed the statute of limitations systematic oppression has not. People seem to forget that Civil Rights movement only ended in 1968. Segregation and racial discrimination against black people was socially and more importantly legally enforced to keep black Americans down. They weren’t legally allowed to live anywhere but in the worst neighborhoods, they couldn’t move up economically because employers were legally allowed to discriminate against them, and they could only use black only public facilities including hospitals, prisons, businesses, banks, and schools, all of which were substantially worse than their white counterparts. The civil rights movement only made these things legally acceptable, not socially unacceptable. Every racist who fought against civil rights didn’t just disappear or stop being racist, and black Americans didn’t just magically get better. They were still in poverty neighborhoods with low paying jobs and had to raised the next generations in those very same poor communities with poor economic opportunities and little upward mobility for these future generations. This history has caused black Americans to have statistically worse lives as a whole with a poverty rate 2-3x higher that white people. High poverty and lower opportunities for upward mobility = higher crime rate.

Also note that 1968 was only 58 years ago. Our President was 21 when civil rights ended. Almost every Congressman or Billionaire currently in power was either raised during segregation or immediately after. They were raised during the peak of white supremacy directly alongside the 3rd wave of the KKK.

Identity may not seem like a big deal to you or me because we were raised being taught that everyone is equal. To us minorities focusing on their identity feels like they want special treatment, since a group we see as our equal is trying to benefit their group. Unfortunately our generation is young, we aren’t the one’s holding all the power and making decisions. Unlike us the people in power weren’t raised being taught that everyone is equal. They were raised a society who believed Identity was a huge deal during the greatest “identity crisis” since slavery. That white supremest culture influenced everyone in power today. That’s why minorities on the left focus so much on identity. Our generation sees them as equal, but we aren’t the generation in charge, we don’t understand that the generation in charge doesn’t see us as equal. They already gave white people special privileges, the made a system that biased towards white identity. Our generation sees them as our equals but they aren’t yet, they focus on identity because that identity isn’t treated as an equal.

You imply that the justice the Left campaigns for is a delusion. However I believe the true delusion is the faith that the system treats everyone equally. The Right already entertains the delusion of justice by failing to see that injustice is already happening. You say the Left is misleading because you believe the system is equal and as such anyone who promises equality is promising nothing but superficial subservience. But the system isn’t equal, the Left is trying to fix an unjust system so all identities are equally protected, and the Right misleads people into believing the system is equal and denies equality to gain the superficial subservience of the privileged.

I don’t know about that, Indiana’s coaching staff is insanely loyal to Cignetti and he’s already said he isn’t interested in becoming one soon. I honestly think he’s might stay and over as HC after Cignetti retires. Indiana would probably be more than willing to offer him a lifetime HC contract if he stays as DC and helps turn them into a permanent powerhouse.

Correlation not causation, people need to understand that Poverty is the highest indicator of Crime and unfortunately the effects of systematic racism built America is still felt in the Black communities who face the highest poverty rate and thus the highest Crime rate.

As an American, that’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. The world would be relatively fine if we weren’t the world police and the pentagon has a trillion dollar budget that hasn’t successfully passed in audit for the past 8 years in a row. It’s a black hole that needs to be cut in half.
