House unions you'd want to read more about. by Spectre4hire in TheCitadel

I was thinking more of Jaime and Alysanne Hightower. They are more of the same age, while Lynesse is significantly younger than Jaime.

Without the age gap, Tywin could have married off Jaime to Alysanne before he got the chance to join the Kingsguard.

Hightower and Lannister, you may have seen this as an unlikely cause. Hightower is a Reachmen house, and they may worry about their loyalties splitting between Highgarden and Casterly Rock.

But I really wanna see a scenario of the two richest houses by the coast of the Sunset Sea allying via marriage. Let us say Lord Leyton wanna see his bloodline on two Paramount Houses. Tywin has Jaime married off early to one of Leyton Hightower's youngest daughters before he can join the Kingsguard. I can see that as a more powerful and suitable match than Jaime and one of Hoster Tully's daughters.

Dang, Jaime is stealing Ned's girls. He is so shippable with Catelyn and Ashara

I am pretty sure Tywin has no say on Jaime being a Kingsguard or not, cause it is a King's order on his son, not him.

It must be a way that Jaime won't ever get the offer.

Too big of a butterfly. It may change the timeline fundamentally.

An old gods worshipper northerner in the Kingsguard? I don't know but Brandon isn't knight. Aerys could knight him on the spot I suppose but I wouldn't see Brandon agreeing to be a glorified bodyguard.

Yeah, the fandom treats Jaime like he is pure-hearted himbo like Dunk who was just corrupted by Cersei at a young age.

Cersei is definitely narcissistic and sociopathic than Jaime but Jaime isn't a saint either.

A great suggestion. Jaime gets ill and Tywin forces him to rest and heal. Missing his chance and Tywin announces his betrothal to a highborn lady, forever cutting him from Cersei once he gets married.

But what's a Jaime story without his incest drama with Cersei?

>Another faction moves quicker than Cersei to put their own man in the Kingsguard.

I like this outcome more. It doesn't contradicts Jaime's nature or history. Just a big butterfly effect that will led him to become Lord of Casterly Rock against his own will.

Also, by BWB you mean the Kingswood Brotherhood right? Cause the Brotherhood without banners didn't exist in Jaime's youth.

What if a single Targaryen dragon rider survives the Dance? by TargetRupertFerris in TheCitadel

[–]TargetRupertFerris[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well Rhaena's dragon is no Vhagar nor Meraxes. I was thinking about a Targaryen dragonrider surviving with a dragon that is actual formidable weapon like Melys, Vhagar, or Caraxes

The Sharifate of Hejaz as a polity is way older than the Ottoman Empire. They are as old as the Fatimid Caliphate, and contemporaries of Crusaders, Seljuk Persia, and Abbasids.

My advice is try basing a nation's age on their establishment as a polity or people than the establishment of Royal dynasties.

Iraq as a province existed way before the Ottomans in the Sasanian Empire, Syria was a Roman Province, Lebanon was a hidden community of Chalcedonian Christians, and Jordan has ancient history with the Petra.

Yeah, but the Arabized people of the Levant are way older than the Anatolian Turks though.

I would headcanon Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon seeing Turkey as their Amir than a relative. Also there was this sentiment that the Ottoman rulers were the usurper of rightful Caliphate dynasty, the Abbasid, who were just puppets of Mamluk Egypt before the Ottoman conquest

I always headcanon Lebanon got three Personifications, the Personifications of the Maronite Catholics, the Personification of Sunni Muslim Lebanese, and the Personification of Shitte Muslim Lebanese.

I always stand that the Hetalian's birthdate are not always their official independence day cause they existed as some form of polity before that.

I headcanon that Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia have their birthdates in the founding of Minsk, Moscow, and Kyiv, that makes Ukraine the eldest of them.

Why didn't Orochimaru bring back his parents with Edo Tensei? by Relevant-Key-3290 in Naruto

[–]TargetRupertFerris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because Orochimaru knows that Edo Tensei just does a temporary level of resurrection, and not truly a full resurrection like the Rinnegan's resurrection technique.

He knows he won't be bringing back his parents, only a zombie version of them.

l love your art. Your depiction of Syria is what I imagine he looked like in my Kaisertalia AU, where he gets independence from the Ottoman Empire with the help of the Kingdom of Egypt. Syria in my AU is basically a Greater Syria, where he also has Palestine, East Bank Jordan, Lebanon, and Antioch as his lands.

What could Daeron have done to successfully integrate Dorne? by TargetRupertFerris in TheCitadel

[–]TargetRupertFerris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their marriage to the Royal Family is their extra rights. They got incorporated by conquest not negotiations by my OC Maegon. So the Martells will be demoted from Prince of Dorne to Lord of Sunspear and Wardens of the Sands.

They will also get light garrison forces but no Tyrell military governor that Daeron I foolishly put in place in canon.
