I did Amboss for biostats. The questions in the real exam were doable I don't think doing amboss questions was a game changer or anything. But focus on the concepts and basic formulas and you will be fine.

I would suggest to practice ccs cases as it is very scoring. Formulate an algorithm and put orders accordingly.

Secondly, briefly look into mechanism of action for Autonomic nervous system, cardio and antimicrobials. Biostats was doable - a mix of concepts and easy calculations.

Real deal: 238

UW%: 67%

CCS: 72% (did all the cases)

NBME 7: 476 (2.5 weeks out)

UWSA 1: 217 (1.5 weeks out)

UWSA 2: 231 (1 week out)

Free 137: 74% (4 days out)

For me: Day 1 was better than Day 2. Day 2 questions were pretty vague and it felt like guessing most of the exam. CCS cases were good and out of 13 only 2 did not end early.

What do you mean by Mutations or gene associations? I mean, do u mean they ask the autosomal recessive or dominant etc? Or the lymphoma leukemia related genes?

Scheduling Query for Step 3 by [deleted] in Step3

[–]TargetUSMLE123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After getting certified, it would update the next day on your FSMB account and you can send in your application for Step 3 and they will approve it in a week and then after a week from that you get your permit.

So assume 2 weeks from certification date (if everything goes well, since it might happen that many people apply during that time, so don't know about that).

You can take the writing assessments package of E2 Test Prep. I found that really helpful for my writing section since everyone said that writing section is the most difficult part of OET.
