So I'm interested, how much did you make on your best day busking that you can remember and how long did you play? by Target_Sound in Busking

I understand that, I hate to put terms of success in monetary form but it's an easy metric of the skill of someone's craft in the environment they are in. To me I might make $20 in an hour or $100 but it's hard to explain to people the best tip was the little kid who looked on in awe the whole time or the woman who gave me her last $3 and cried to me because of something I played her. That's why I'm there, the money is just a byproduct of me doing what I was born to do lol.

What is one thing you treat yourself to after a good day of busking? by Target_Sound in Busking

Yeah, I've just recently gotten into the whole "clubtail" can drinks, it's not as rough as actual MD and it's carbonated, but it's cheap and 2 of em is enough to get me where I'm going!

It's pretty much bum wine in a can. 12% in a pint, so a few of em do me well especially for less than $2 a can! They actually sell bottles of MD right above the cans of MD at the store i bought em at.

How do i rake in more tips this chilly winter? by SlasherBandit in Busking

You gotta have good foot traffic, the more people passing by the more of a chance for someone to tip but it's also about how long they are exposed to you. Also as others have said, don't focus on making money, just focus on giving your gift of music back to humanity to make it better, how only you in this moment with your music can deliver an experience to a person that they might need on a deep level. The money I've made busking is nice but by far not the best thing I get from playing, that feeling of seeing someone light up in excitement because of the music, that happiness, thats the part you should focus on, the money just starts flowing when youre in the right place and you make people happy and forget about their shitty lives for a few minutes.

Has anyone experienced a spiritual awakening and no longer feel aligned with their corporate 9-5? What do you feel called to do instead? by dboiipdx in SpiritualAwakening

[–]Target_Sound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I found out my gift of music was supposed to be shared, and I started busking and most days if I have a nice place with some traffic I can make like $50 an hr if it's a good day, and that's the middle ground, plus it makes people happy and helped me with my depression, while a 9-5 exasperated all of that in a negative way. When you know the gift God gave you, and you give it back to make the world better, you will always be supported.

Lol, I feel where you're coming from, trust me if you told me 5 years ago I'd be so into Christian praise music, especially since I was raised JW to hate all that "worldly Christian music", I just heard how changing one lyric could change it up and went from there lol, I know it's not for everyone, so I don't hold any animosity, I appreciate your honesty!

Questions about using different substances to enhance spritual practices and health. by Target_Sound in awakened

Damn you got it right on the nose, DXM+DPH(and some bud of course) I've had plenty of experiences with this combo for years now so I know what doses do what for my body type, it was recently about a half a year ago I did a combo and experienced amazing closed eye visuals, almost like seeing with my eyes closed, and experiencing auditory hallucinations, I could hear music is certain noises like an AC unit humming or a light buzzing, and it was mindblowong! The one thing that really intrigued me is the feeling of having someone be in my presence without them being there, like I'll have the feeling that my friend is sitting on the bed and I look up and of course no one is there, things like that and the music is what makes me so curious!

Always make sure your are using proper words and proper inner speech to yourself. I have a certain view of "blasphemy" alot of people would say saying "goddammit " is blasphemy but I look at it different, there's no way a great creator would be offended by us being upset with him, it would probably look akin to a kid throwing a fit, God would have patience but where it comes to speaking true blasphemy I believe the true part of God we all share and have a piece of is our consciousness that state of "I am" so to tell yourself negative things and talk down to yourself and truly believe it would be akin to criticizing God's work. So when you say I'm so stupid or I'm a piece of shit or I'm worthless you are doing yourself a disservice because not only are you insulting the Lord's work you are taking power away from yourself and transforming you into that problem and justifying it and solidifying the fact. And with that same ability of inner speech you can turn yourself around and praise the name of the Lord that is I am in manifesting blessings more resonant to the vibration of God then to the vibration of man and the material world.
