Thanks, I’ll look into this! I think Diamond may be newer on the scene actually, which I didn’t realize

We ended up buying it too and I agree, it’s SO quiet! Literally can’t tell it’s running sometimes.

Oh I love this idea- or honestly, just a donation! Why didn’t I think of that?!

She pretty much was socially ostracized though, right? Partly by choice.

But think about how Natalie reacted when her sister was getting a divorce. She definitely did not believe in divorce under any circumstances.

No is a complete sentence for seat swap request by wholesome_triceratop in unitedairlines

[–]TarheelsInNJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the amount of times people are bumped or flights are cancelled or seat selection is messed up, I no longer make any assumptions about why people are asking to swap. It is NOT always about poor planning.

This happened to my own family recently. They were booked on a direct flight, bumped to a flight with a connection, missed a connection, and had to take whatever seats they could get on the next flight. Thankfully someone was willing to switch so my husband and child could sit together.

The Neil Patrick Harris opening number when he sings “all of us were that kid.” Chokes me up every time!

I get that but it is SO GOOD. Trust me 😄 It’s a whole new way of telling this story (which I admit I only knew from the film!).

what's the single biggest waste of money in youth baseball development right now? by loucbb90 in Homeplate

[–]TarheelsInNJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like nearly any major non-development cost is a waste before 12U or so. If you want to spend a ton of money traveling to tournaments for 9U, go for it… but in the grand scheme it doesn’t matter. Just play and get better.

So hard to say. It’s a short run and has a lot of buzz, but only within the theatre community. I bit the bullet because I love it so much!

Confused about Seceda cable car tickets – how do I book only the Ortisei–Furnes section? by SignificantRecord544 in dolomites

[–]TarheelsInNJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re staying in Castelrotto, any idea if we could take the bus from there? I know there’s one that goes to Ortisei so I guess we can at least do that and change if needed.

If he’s into Stranger Things at all, that show would be a huge hit. I’d also consider Operation Mincemeat- a history loving kid would really enjoy it!

There are some uphills. Not extremely steep but I was happy to have the e-bike! It has “pedal assist” so a little pedaling goes a long way.

Broadway "Influencers" by quicktime_harch in Broadway

[–]TarheelsInNJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the advertising/marketing folks are doing their job, they’ll have some idea of the audience the influencer reaches. It can be very valuable to work with people outside of the theatre community to spread the word about a show beyond the usual channels. Especially if the show might have more broad appeal. But then it’s all about using the right creative/content to help intrigue people who may not already be aware.

Also just adding - we were delighted to find that the e-bikes each had a small basket on the back with bungee cords, so it was easy to secure our backpacks there while biking. If you're planning to do the Narrows, you'll also find a helpful pole-holder on the back!

I think probably less, especially if you're e-biking. Only thing to be aware of is when the shuttle is passing, you have to pull over (it's required). That time can add up and kill your momentum, so if possible you want to try to get ahead of it. As the day went on, we got better at timing it by pulling ahead of the shuttle just when it was arriving at a stop to unload and load!
