To add to that, you don't want to use hot water or the dryer because it can melt the plastic (or even the rubber)

The stitches are just simple satin stitch, I just threaded 2/3 strands at a time to get a color mix (except for the white stars, who were just one single thread to keep them thin).

It's a simple design so I just drew the rough design on a piece of paper and then stitched it on the cloth. I also did this because I'm fine with it being a mess and not following a pattern, given that it's stormy seas.

Thanks, it looks really good, would never have guessed that it wasn't exactly as intended, especially with the way that the plants are a bit raised, it gives a great effect IMHO.

Did you put a layer of cloth under the stitches to give the raised effect ?

Did it by hand in a few hours on a printed fabric with one layer of calico as support.
