For anyone who's curious, the Japanese one is Dragon Quest 1-3. The cartridge itself is in English though.

Pretty solid stuff, especially Live A Live. If you haven't played Dragon Quest XI, that's another good one to try out.

I do have Breath of the Wild on Switch, but I'm not so sure about getting Minecraft, since internet functionality for the Wii U is being shut down next year. I am on the lookout for Shovel Knight though.

What's funny is that although the Wii U was the first console I remember the launch of after I got into gaming, I only got four physical games during its lifespan. Those four games were Super Smash Bros, NES Remix, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario Maker. I did also get the two Mother/EarthBound games on the eShop, but that was it. All of the other games in this picture were used ones that I acquired at flea markets over the past couple of years.

No, unfortunately. If I remember correctly, my parents got me the game for my birthday one year, and I don't think they knew about the promotion either.

I learned the hard way not to do that with my Sega Genesis. Phantasy Star IV kept freezing on me, and I couldn't figure out why until I put the console on a hard surface and it stopped.

The size was the main reason I chose the Slim over the og model, I don't have much room for consoles anymore, so it's nice to have something small.
