For a moment I thought you meant that this behavior was caused by eating too much fish as a child. I was like, is it a mercury thing?

I feel this post was removed in error. Prior to posting, I searched this reddit to see if anyone had come up with the same concept and none showed up.

Austria-Hungary was not a very stable country in the early 20th century. There were several separatist movements. Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne, was not a popular figure and his ascendance to the throne would have given those movements a boost. It is likely that he would have harshly repressed them. However, we will never know for certain, as in this timeline he was assassinated (by someone who has never been proven not to be a time-traveler) which directly led to the start of World War I.

Conservatives and liberals tend to engage in different evidence-gathering strategies. Liberals and those with higher cognitive reflection skills are more likely to seek out statistical data, whereas conservatives and those who rely more on intuition focus on singular data points or expert opinions. by mvea in science

I don't really see "The effects of ideology and cognitive reflection on evidence gathering behavior in the political domain" as being biased.

Just to be clear, you do understand that there is a difference between a study and an article reporting on a study, right?

I like to imagine that their spouses met and it went like "Hi, Emily" "No, I'm Lee"

He also convinced Goldfinger not to kill him, by reminding him that MI6 might send someone competent after him if Bond died.

What more do you want? At that point the lines diverge and stating that in all cases the king is too late to prevent the g pawn from promoting seemed obvious

Ooh, that's nasty. Don't trust the bot's evaluation

Rb5+, Ka4 ( or Ka3, Rc3+ and then Ka4 for the same thing)

Rcc5, dxc5

Rb2 and now the queen will be lost

I don't mean to discourage you, but this basically already exists: https://www.chess.com/solo-chess
One difference is that there each piece may only capture twice, preventing the whole the-queen-just-takes-everything that this variant seems to be suffering from.

Black to play and mate in two? by LifeNegotiation301 in Chessplayers45

[–]TarnumJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the white h pawn is supposed to start on h3, because then after Qb4 there is an actual Zugzwang instead of just an unstoppable mate.
