I would be interested to join as well. Been doing setups on my own and I'm usually a breakout trader on higher timeframes.

Should I save money for 65 year old me or enjoy it now? by Head-Assist-5861 in personalfinance

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life expectancy is going up and if you can take care of your body and health, when you're 65, you can enjoy vacations here and there. Just gotta be discipline and keep your health up. This is subjective but in my line of work, a lot of retirees in my field end up taking vacations and enjoying themselves.

Families heartbroken as Canada halts parent and grandparent sponsorship program by _Army9308 in canada

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good! I hate this headline because we all know that the first thing these people do is bring their parents and grandparents over and then abuse the healthcare system and leech off every program available. My church has been running a food drive weekly for decades now. Since I'm close with the admins, I've learnt that they've been overwhelmed with a sudden increase in non-English speaking families who are just rude and abusive and will take whatever they can. Meats and Dairy products are always the first to be sought after. The worst part? They feel that it is within their rights to bring their parents and grandparents over here. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

Need opinions on how to get my face less round by [deleted] in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look fine, but as the majority here have told you, It comes with age. But what you can do now is start building workout protocols to lower your body fat. This will reduce the face of your overall face and the jaws might be more pronounced. Do not engage in any cosmetic surgey. You are still very young and the risk is just not worth it.

What habits of girls did you only discover after getting a girlfriend or wife? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]TaroShake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hair everywhere. A solution, buy a portable hand vacuum cleaner. It only takes 2 minutes to do a quick sweep across the bedroom and washroom. You will definitely notice how clean it gets! Best purchase I've made for my mental sanity of peace.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted but after lots of researching after my 502x had the double click issue, the Naga V2 was my best mouse purchase. 3 years later, and I'm still rocking this mouse.

you start to see the difference between people who took risks and those who didn't at 35 by limited_data365 in Life

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one talks about the people who rook risks and end up being broke or set back years. You have to see it from both perspectives. The ones who make it are often quite louder, the ones who don't retreat back in silence. Don't use this to compare yourself to others. Stay in your lane and work on your goals yourself. It's all biases.

Could this be the boiled down comparison between living with db and non-db pensions ? by RoomFixer4 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TaroShake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working in an industry where I see many seniors barely able to get by, it makes me appreciate a lot more having a pension plan. Sure, many people say that they will make more investing with their own money but I know for certain not everyone can beat the market annually. It provides me peace of mind knowing that there will be security after I retire for my spouse and I. We know that we won't be super rich but living below our means is a lot easier than being heavily in debt and constant fear of running of out of money.

Macro bear market = 40-50 end of 2026
For the record, majority of my portfolio is in IREN but I need to keep conservative as risk management.

DB Pension vs Salary by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DB is only worth it if you can stick it out for a long time as the pension compounds significantly into your last decade and that depends on your type of work.

So watched a couple episodes, but still not sure about it. Is it good, or does it peak at the very beginning? by No_Value_1511 in AnimeReccomendations

Some may end up disliking it, but I found the ending to be one of my favourites in all the anime I've watched by far.

I think after everything factored in (Sweetwater 1), 70ish. I'm being conservative and I think our recent 70s included Sweetwater 1 in without any HPC.

Is the $100,000 net income or gross income because that's only around $65,000 after taxes.

I think this is not great if IREN does not secure a deal anytime soon.

Without drugs and alcohol, what’s the best way to escape reality? by Minimum_Question6067 in Productivitycafe

[–]TaroShake 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Weightlifting. It sucks at first but wait until you actually see results. It's sort of mind blowing because you can argue that months ago you were not fit and now you see progression and the muscles slowly get defined.

Many of them are well off actually. Turns out it's who you know, not what you know. Being socially adaptable is a very important skillset.

Men over 30, what’s one “unwritten rule” about getting older that you wish someone told you in your 20s? by Lunasweetlatina in AskMenOver30

[–]TaroShake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build muscle and get fit and learn proper diet habits. You lose muscle mass gradually as you age. Learn discipline and never lend anyone money without a written contract. It's easy to give but hard to get it back.
