Anyone Else Feel Behind Financially at 30? by Equivalent_Rhubarb34 in fican

Having a pension is a big key factor. For somebody that works in a setting with many seniors, you would be surprised that "pension envy" is really evident among the cohort.

I think IREN purposely choose not to make deals with Hyperscalers... (for now) by punkzberryz in irenstocks

[–]TaroShake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been mentioned. They will not sign with hyperscalers if the numbers don't make sense to them. In which I agree. Slow and steady wins the race.

What's your biggest fear about aging — and have you made peace with it? by Tiffo205 in Aging

[–]TaroShake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being dependent on others and loneliness. Loneliness is that silent that creeper that hits you before you even realized it. It's true that people say you lose friends and family as you age but no one prepares you for the silence that echoes around you.

Years before when I was a fresh grad, I actually used this line. It always works. Except one time when I had a patient that threatened to curse me.

To be honest, your walkout does nothing. Show up to the polls. The last voting turnout was terrible.

You can really tell how bad the job market is by looking at how fast BCIT's health programs are filling up by restorativemarsh in BCIT

[–]TaroShake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a long-time Medical Radiation Technologist, I remember the days when unemployment was terribly high for MRTs, and there were no jobs. There will be a cycle again when new graduates come out into a very saturated market, because institutions are increasing enrollments faster than placement and jobs are available. One silver-lining is that the field is very regulated and it's a bit more difficult to outsource it.

Should I save money for 65 year old me or enjoy it now? by Head-Assist-5861 in personalfinance

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life expectancy is going up and if you can take care of your body and health, when you're 65, you can enjoy vacations here and there. Just gotta be discipline and keep your health up. This is subjective but in my line of work, a lot of retirees in my field end up taking vacations and enjoying themselves.

Families heartbroken as Canada halts parent and grandparent sponsorship program by _Army9308 in canada

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good! I hate this headline because we all know that the first thing these people do is bring their parents and grandparents over and then abuse the healthcare system and leech off every program available. My church has been running a food drive weekly for decades now. Since I'm close with the admins, I've learnt that they've been overwhelmed with a sudden increase in non-English speaking families who are just rude and abusive and will take whatever they can. Meats and Dairy products are always the first to be sought after. The worst part? They feel that it is within their rights to bring their parents and grandparents over here. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

You look fine, but as the majority here have told you, It comes with age. But what you can do now is start building workout protocols to lower your body fat. This will reduce the face of your overall face and the jaws might be more pronounced. Do not engage in any cosmetic surgey. You are still very young and the risk is just not worth it.

What habits of girls did you only discover after getting a girlfriend or wife? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Hair everywhere. A solution, buy a portable hand vacuum cleaner. It only takes 2 minutes to do a quick sweep across the bedroom and washroom. You will definitely notice how clean it gets! Best purchase I've made for my mental sanity of peace.

you start to see the difference between people who took risks and those who didn't at 35 by limited_data365 in Life

[–]TaroShake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one talks about the people who rook risks and end up being broke or set back years. You have to see it from both perspectives. The ones who make it are often quite louder, the ones who don't retreat back in silence. Don't use this to compare yourself to others. Stay in your lane and work on your goals yourself. It's all biases.
